Health Care Advocates International (HCAI) is a nonprofit medical office in Stratford, Connecticut, with a focus on the LGBTQ community. In addition to primary healthcare, we offer the full spectrum of HIV/AIDS services, sexual health and mental health care, plus cosmetic services.
Because our mission is to fight stigma and discrimination, end HIV as a global health crisis, and address the problem of homelessness, especially among LGBTQ youth, we're always busy with numerous charitable efforts, like our work for HIV Advocates and the Zimbabwe AIDS Project (ZAP).All of us at HCAI are stigma warriors fighting shame and discrimination.

Dr. Gary Blick is an internationally renowned HIV/AIDS clinician, clinical researcher, lecturer, and humanitarian. While in medical school at the University of Miami in the early 1980s, he was inspired to become an infectious disease specialist due to the burgeoning national HIV crisis.
Dr. Blick completed his residency training at Yale University and Greenwich Hospital Association and went on to receive additional credentialing from the American Academy of HIV Medicine.He has had a successful medical career for more than 30 years. Dr. Blick is the chief medical officer of Health Care Advocates International (HCAI), co-founder of HIV Advocates, and founder of the Zimbabwe AIDS Project (ZAP).

I’ve been with Dr Gary Blick for several years. He is by far the best physician I’ve ever had. His knowledge, compassion and dedication is unbeatable. He spends time with his patients and I’ve never felt rushed. Every staff member here is excellent and like Dr Blick goes above and beyond. I consider myself very lucky to have him not only as a Dr but he is a true friend !.

I am so excited to be a patient of Health Care Advocates International. I've known about Dr. Gary Blick through his work combating HIV/AIDS and advocating for the LGBTQ+ Community in Fairfield County and beyond.
It feels so right to bring my needs to him and his outstanding team. As expected his personal attention and thoroughness did not disappoint.

Dr. Gary Blick and his team are incredible. Gary has been my doctor for over 18 years. His expertise and skills go unmatched. He and his team listen and care about each patience’s needs. The teams bedside manner is excellent. Every visit has been incredible, from the warm welcome at check-in to medical visit; it is evident that each member of the team makes one feel welcome and part of a surrogate family. Making an appointment and wait time is done with ease. Healthcare Advocates should be used a model for many medical environments.

Dr Blick and the healthcare team are outstanding. I have been a patient of Dr Blick for 20 years. This doctors commitment to comprehensive care is unmatched. In early years of practice one would wait longer than one would like to see the Doctor, but as your appointment began you knew why. during your time with the doctor, you were the only focus, and Dr. Blick had a complete understanding of your medical history, the appointment was always beneficial.

I love Gary,he is compassionate and intelligent, he's someone who truly is a great humanitarian. He has been my doctor for at least 30 years.Where ever he goes,I follow him. I read some other reviews snd I believe it is a witch hunt to discredit his reputation. People are mean,please ignore this nonsense.

I've been a patient of Dr Blicks for 23 years. Yes, Gary is an HIV specialist but most important he is very broad in his knowledge and connection to all the other medical disciplines. His interactions with my other specialists has been invaluable. If you are HIV positive you need an advocate that can address all aspects of your health and well being, not just your HIV issues. Dr Blicks dedication and caring nature are your most valuable asset.
