Northern Orthopedic Laboratory

Northern Orthopedic Laboratory provides professional staff for prosthetic and orthotic evaluations to establish prescription criteria, measure, design, fabricate, fit and follow-up services. Both custom and off-the-shelf items are available, depending on the patient's needs. The majority of all custom prosthetic and orthotic fabrication occurs on-site, including repairs and adjustments.

Donald Holmes, CPO, Director of Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinical Services of Northern Orthopedic Laboratory, Inc. (NOL) is a certified prosthetist/orthotist credentialed by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, Pedorthics (ABC). With 50 years of experience Mr. Holmes is able to provide a level of patient care not found at any other facility in the north country.

Mr. Morrison has been involved in the field of orthotics and prosthetics since 2015, when he began an internship at Northern Orthopedic Laboratory. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Physics at Le Moyne College in 2017 and his Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from University of Hartford in 2019.

Emergency Services are provided after hours. Professional, American Board Certified Orthotists and Prosthetists are on call seven days a week, 24 hours per day to serve all of our patient's needs. You may call either of our office locations with general questions or to schedule an appointment.

Our highly trained and qualified practitioners specialize in all forms of bracing from off the shelf to custom molded. Northern Orthopedic Laboratory is proud to be the only facility in the North Country with two locations that provide upper extremity, lower extremity, spinal bracing, and cranial bands.
