Positive Pilates
Pilates is a total concept of fitness, coordination and body control. Joseph Pilates studied many forms of exercise, yoga, martial arts, gymnastics and more, and used his findings to build the unique program that he called "Contrology, " which we now just call Pilates.

The Pilates method builds long, lean muscles and balances the "core, " the deep abdominal and back muscles, creating balance between the deep stabilizing muscles near the joints and the superficial, more visible mobilizing muscles. We were all born perfect! But often, as we grow and age, we allow negative energies and habits to wear us down, causing "dis-ease."
Services
Unlike most fitness studios, Positive Pilates takes an individualized approach to scheduling to ensure each client receives the training most suited to their personal schedule and fitness goals. To help accomplish this, all new clients receive a free, one-on-one introductory session upon sign-up.

Each matwork class begins with a short warm-up before moving into more intense, core-based exercises that will strengthen, lengthen and tone the whole body.Small props (balls, hand weights, fitness circles, flex bands, etc.) may also be used in class to add challenge and variety to the workout. Class levels range from Beginner through Advanced.
A lifetime exerciser, former gymnast, teacher and attorney, Mary loves music and movement. She was introduced to Pilates in 1999 and fell in love with the method for its rhythm and fluidity, as well as its many health benefits, all achieved in time-efficient sessions. She completed her first certification in Columbus, Ohio in 2006 and continued with her full certification with Master Trainers in North Shore, Boston, Massachusetts in 2010.

Put your seat belt on. Mary Carole is uniquely talented and passionate. Her cues are exceptionally timed and you get so so much out of her vast array of amazing Stott equipment. The Cardio Tramp is my new spirit exercise tool. So much fun and you feel like Peter Pan or the FTD florist character. You fly people. Mind you - on your back- but with a little imagination you really feel in control of your strength and can really get a great cardio workout with nominal weight bearing. She has rotational disks, barrels, a Stotts chair, three reformers and a menagerie of balls, weights etc to increase the
