At the Village Bakery we create products that people love while "baking a difference" in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Located in downtown Oregon, IL, we offer fresh baked goods, delicious coffees, mouth-watering soups and sandwiches. But our mission runs deeper than good food - we are creating meaningful, community based work for men and women with developmental disabilities.
The goal is to instill our men and women with the confidence to work in front of the public and competence to do it well. People with disabilities can have an active and meaningful role in today's world - they just need a chance. Thank you for helping us "bake a difference" in so many lives.

This is such a wholesome place to come too. I always feel so loved when I come through. You may have to wait a little bit but YOU WILL NEVER BE DISSAOINTED!!! These people work the hardest and make the best food possible! EVERY BITE IS WORTH EVERY DIME! I enjoy the people who make our food too. Just an amazing place to have in this town. They deserve an award and so much more!

Very disappointed with the coffee yesterday. Thought I'd give it a other chance, as it has been bad before, but won't do that again! The server not only didn't know what she had even just made, but she gave me and my fiancé both the wrong sizes. His drink tasted awful, and because it was the wrong size, I took it back up to be remade. The server… proceeded to not remake the drink, but simply dump it into the right size cup and add a couple of extra things to it. The server never even apologized, just seemed very confused the whole time. My drink was made incorrectly as well, but I

Good coffee and cookies, but they must not get paid after 3:00pm so they were rude and said, 'we close at 3:00'! I looked at my phone and it was EXACTLY 3:00, so no extra time at all. 3:00pm rolls around and you sre kicked out. What a joke. Obviously no business owner would treat a customer like this, like they did to my wife and I, and another couple in there at the same time. But employees who don't care about their job do this kind of thing. I see it everywhere, and it's sad.

This is my favorite bakery in the area, their pastries are so soft and the flavor is outstanding. The staff always friendly and do their very best to be efficient and very helpful. The place is very clean and covid aware. The parking is easy to get to at the side of the building. They do have a drive up window. The whole restaurant is handicap accessible from the doors to the restrooms and everything in between.

I think its a great place. I think the workers need to communicate more with eachother so they don't keep screwing up my orders. This time I asked for the peanut butter chocolate frappe. I only got the peanut butter flavor. And for my donuts, I asked for 3 sprinkled, and they gave me 3 glazed donuts.
