Services
Dr. Matt Forster received his undergraduate education from Union College, earning a degree in biology with honors distinction. He then entered dental school at the University of Pennsylvania with a full scholarship from the United States Navy.
He graduated at the top of his class for which he received many rewards, including the Matthew Cryer Award, Best Clinical Dentist Award and election by the faculty into the National OKU Dental Honor Society.He then was selected for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program in the Navy and served two years forward deployed onboard USS Ponce (LPD-15) as Chief Dental Officer and department head.

Getting braces can be an adjustment. At Forster Orthodontics, we understand that and work hard to ensure you have the tips and tricks necessary to maintain your quality of life and busy schedule! For the first three to five days after you get your braces on, you may experience some general soreness in your mouth and your teeth might feel tender when biting down.

We are new to this office and are very pleased. The staff is very prompt, courteous, and accommodating. They have an awesome rewards program as well for patients to earn and redeem points for awesome prizes. My son is so excited to earn points at every visit. Dr Forster was great to work with. He is very patient, explained my son's care plan in detail, and answered every question and concern that we had. Can't say enough good things about this office!

From the first visit to the 'drop ins' to my son's last visit to get his braces off, this office, this staff has been amazing, professional and has done so much for my son's situation with his upper jaw issues. To see the progress over the past 14 months or so, and realize how much better his smile is and the confidence that now comes with it is unreal. It’s never to late to get your teeth straightened , my bottom teeth were crooked and uneven, the look just bother me . Dr Foster and his team did a amazing job correcting my bottom teeth. Don’t give up on yourself it’s never to late, I am 70 years old and in my opinion it was money will spent.

We were able to make a next-day appointment. Staff were friendly and professional on the phone and in person. Jen was amiable throughout our entire initial consultation and she was able to answer all questions. Dr Forster was gregarious, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I am looking forward to working with everyone in this office as we get my son’s teeth straightened out

Dr Forster and his staff are all wonderful. They are all nice, courteous, and attentive to their patients. The office is always clean and inviting and I have never had to wait for more than 10-15 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time.

Colin is my third child that has seen Dr. Forster. Dr. Forster and his staff are always smiling and pleasant. The team is extremely caring, as well very competent. Colin is seen in a timely manner and it is easy to make an appointment that fits our busy schedule. I have been very impressed with this office for many years now!

This is a terrific practice. Appointments are always on time. Everyone, from Dr. Forster to the ortho technicians to the reception folks, is absolutely delightful and helpful. I particularly appreciate the fact that no one ever insinuates that you are inconveniencing them if you have a problem and need to schedule a visit more quickly than might be usual, as was my case today. Thanks for running such a great practice.

I highly recommend Forster Orthodontics! The staff is wonderful and caring. Dr. Forster did a great job with my son's teeth. He has a gentle "bed side manner", he took the time to explain the process with us in detail and made us feel like were in great hands (which we were!) I know a lot of folks who have used Forster Orthodontics and everyone that I know love him. My son has a beautiful smile thanks to Dr. Forster and his staff!

My daughter began orthodontic treatment at Dr. Forster's office in Newport recently. When I first called the office to book her appointment, the receptionist was extremely helpful and was very pleasant to speak with. At our first appointment, I was very pleased with how clean and modern the office looked. The entire staff made my daughter feel at ease and Dr. Forster was terrific. He took his time examining my daughter and answered all of our questions. The office also offers reward points, which can be used to purchased prizes in the office, as an incentive for your child to keep up
