Blue Door Psychotherapy
We meet with people who are struggling personally or with loved ones and provide individualized solutions through education and/or therapy. We offer a strength based approach to mental health, working with clients from early childhood through late aging. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, or general loss and grief, we will meet you where you are at and provide treatment that is uniquely suited to your needs.

Couples and family therapy can help you assess your needs and relationships, understand your family's ways of interacting, and teach you skills to make your family life more fulfilling. Family therapy is strength based and involves two or more persons identifying as a family. Collaborative Law is an innovative process characterized by the use of cooperative rather than adversarial strategies.
Services
Are you concerned about your behavior or a loved one's behavior? Many people experience powerful, persistent emotions such as depression, anxiety, illness, grief and/or anger. Sometimes the difficulty lies in behaviors that are worrisome: self harm, violence against others, addictions, and/or preoccupation with pleasing others.
Couple's therapy is a collaborative process between the therapist and the couple to determine what is working and what is more of a struggle in the relationship. The couple and the therapist will work together to identify potential courses of managing the relationship with the understanding that there are many ways of being in relationships.
Family therapy is a strength-based therapy that involves two or more persons identifying as a family. Family therapy can help with socializing new members of the family (such as parenting children), stabilizing existing members of the family (such as noticing and addressing the onset of depression), and going through life transitions (such as illness, addiction, or divorce).
Collaborative Law is an innovative process used to resolve legal disputes. In the case of divorce, this means it is characterized by the use of cooperative rather than adversarial strategies, and excludes litigation as a means to resolution. In a Collaborative Divorce Law case, each party is represented by his or her own attorney, and works with collaborative divorce coaches who are committed to the principles of Collaborative Law.

The Blue Door Psychotherapy group did an excellent job of helping my 7-year- old-great niece come to grips with her feelings of sadness over her mother’s death and to accept that her dad was in prison. They helped her reconnect with her dad after he was released and develop trust with him. Her therapist Frank Fountain, supervised by Dr. Vicki Loyer, did a great job of getting her to talk about her feelings through games, artwork and walks. I would highly recommend them to anyone whose child needs help.
