Services
Allied Custom Upholsterers was founded in 1971 by a collaborative of eight leading tradespeople. Allied Custom Upholsterers began 47 years ago when Breuner's decided that it would be better not to have their own custom labor shops. They gave the upholsterers the chance to set themselves up as an independent shop that Breuner's would then contract their work.

Allied reupholstered two sofas, two wing chairs, an antique settee and 10 straight chairs, and made several pillows for us in contrasting fabric selected by our designer, Elizabeth Davis. Gorgeous workmanship! The settee needed re-finishing from some cat damage (sorry, Antiques Roadshow!), and Allied coordinated with DeSousa's Furniture Restoration for that work. Husband and I are delighted with the results. Lauri was a delight to meet and to work with. Highly recommended!!!!!

I bought a pair of original mid century slipper chairs for their beautiful lines and wood, but they needed to be totally rebuilt inside. Lauri and her team worked with me to get exactly the support and firmness that I wanted, letting me come back twice to try out how it felt to sit in them, and graciously making modifications to meet my preference before putting on the new fabric.The workmanship is perfect and my chairs are beautiful!! I had seats on six dining chairs and an oak side chair rebuilt (rewebbed on the dining chairs and springs retied on the oak chair) plus new padding and reupholstering of all chairs. The outcome was beautiful with the fabric perfectly pattern matched. Lauri, in the front office, was helpful, attentive and a pleasure to work with. Pick up and delivery is available. I highly recommend!
