I recently had Ted and his staff work on my Volvo Penta engine and his service and staff are excellent. He kept me up to date about progress and costs associated, and is just a pleasure to deal with. Onekama Marine has truly earned my business going forward. Don't trust your Volvo Penta engine to any other marine that isn't certified, take it to Ted and his staff, get it fixed right the 1st time and enjoy the rest of the summer on the water without having to worry about mechanical issues.

Rented a pontoon for 6 days. Had a rental on the lake with a dock so we would have really preferred being able to keep it later than 4:30 every day. Had to pick up and drop off daily. I understand why but wish we had investigated this prior to commiting to such an extended length of time. Not their fault I guess, just a heads up to anyone else looking to do the same. Carla was super friendly from the beginning of our inquiry to the end of our stay in Onekama. The rest of the staff was helpful and attentive as well. Pontoon was nice, too!

Bought used boat from dealer. Boat would not hit manufacturers recommended rpm at survey. Marina was eventually able to get boat to hit the manufacturers rpm. When asked what was done. Marina stated that engine had tune up (spark plugs, cap, rotor, and wires). When I got the boat home. 1st time on the water boat would only hit 3200 rpm, well below manufacturing rpm. Took boat into my mechanics to find out that boat was never turned up. Spark plugs were black and completely fouled out. Once my mechanics did tune up boat hits manufacturers rpm. There is something to be said about a marine not wiling

I reserved a rental pontoon from them 4 months prior to my one week vacation, got up to the rental cottage and called them to say I would pick up the boat the following day due to storms on the first day. They called me back 1.5 hrs. later and said my reservation was canceled because the boat motor didn't work, I asked if there was just any other motor they could put on and was told NO (btw, this isn't a small marina, and I find it hard to believe there wasn't some replacement motor they could come up with) and then was told "oh, and you probably cant find anything to rent anywhere either", I understand
