I am a LPN (14yrs) and I appreciate the attentive and detailed care and concern of my nurse practitioner Fabeola. She takes notes and asks questions showing complete concern. Very professional office and thorough. From the front desk to the providers this office provides great service. I would only caution the ultrasound tech to be mindful of asking personal questions of her patients while in the hallway as she did me the first day I came to have a scan. Looking forward to setting and reaching more health and fitness goals with this women's clinic!

I highly recommend Women's Health Institute for those looking for a gynecologist, or for those of us having leg pain/swelling! From the time I walk in the door, I feel like family- not "just another patient" like other doctor's offices where I've been rushed in and out as quickly as possible. Dr. Umerah is the best OBGYN I have ever seen. He has always listened to my concerns, and unlike some other gynecologists I've been to in the Macon area, he seems to truly care about his patients and makes me feel like my opinions and concerns about my body are VALID. Any time I've had questions, he's taken

Horrible. I scheduled an appointment with them b/c my insurance provider no longer carried my previous doctor. I get there a few minutes before my appointment & they tell me that the doctor that I was supposed to see had called in due to an urgent matter & I could be seen by another doctor. I inquired as to why I was not called about this since the doctor that would be seeing me was male & I specifically requested female only, the front desk staff could not provide an answer & just told me that they had not gotten to my name yet. Seriously? I drove over an hour & a half for nothing because they

Dr. Umerah is a great OBGYN. He treats me like a daughter and considers and treats me and my sister like family.
I usually perfer a woman OBGYN, but he is the third male OBGYN that I've had and felt comfortable with. My first one was my mother's OBGYN who delivered my last three brothers. He retired after having a stroke. And the second one was the only young, white, and temporary OBGYN doctor I have had. Only saw him twice.

Dr. Umerah exemplifies the true meaning of patient care. He’s compassionate, caring, understanding and truly knows his patients. These last 7yrs have been a wonderful experience and I plan on staying with him as long as he remains in practice. I thank God for him and highly recommend him and his staff to others.
