As a privately owned and closely held firm, Thames Batr is accountable to our customers. It was 1891, in downtown Mobile, Alabama, that Thames Batr began as a partnership between Gustav Thames and Lloyd Batr. At that time, the two men could have only imagined that their small beginnings would, 100 years later, evolve into one of the regions most respected and progressive insurance brokerage firms.
Over the course of our 100 year history, Thames Batr has developed strategic relationships and connections with insurance carriers who are among the strongest and most respected in our industry. Today, Thames Batr has placements with over 100 different carriers from around the globe.

In the past 5 years, company employee participation has been over 93% annually, with more than 25% filling "leadership" contributor roles.
