Transitions of Augusta is a psychology practice serving people of all ages. Our goal is to provide individual and group therapy. Psychological evaluations are available for children, adolescents, and adults. We work with a wide variety of issues which includes depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, trauma, anger management, and behavioral problems.
Dr. Turner accepts most major insurances. However, we do not accept Cigna, Medical Mutual of Ohio, or South Carolina Medicaid. Children work on anger management techniques, social skills, accepting consequences, self control, self-esteem, paying attention, making/keeping friends, and problem solving through the use of therapeutic games and peer evaluation.

My experience with TOA was absolutely amazing!! The overall customer service was great, every time i called or emailed i received an immediate response or call back. As a common curtesy they’ve contacted me via text and phone call to remind me of each appointment which I very much appreciate.
I highly recommend Dr. Turner... he’s the only person I’ve had appointments with and Ive immediately became comfortable with him as soon as we met. Of course you start out with Questioners however i felt like it gave them an insight to who I am and it gave me a chance to think outside the box. Our sessions

My children and I have been coming here for almost two years, we were referred here by my children's pediatrician and their ABA therapist. My children are getting the help they need to navigate through some very difficult times, and even with Covid and having to do tele health, they are still getting quality care, which is needed more than ever, as this pandemic uncovers new issues that need to be addressed. They have been very accommodating and responsive when needed. I recommend Transitions of Augusta to anyone that want's quality care and people that truly care about you and your families well

If you love yourself and your family, you would not go here for their service. Came here for a diagnosis for my daughter and instead was met with hundreds of survey questions to fill out. No more than minutes was spent interviewing me and my child. Now I get a bill for 450 dollars. Not to mention the poor write up diagnosis we received. I took this to another professional who said that this was a very poor diagnosis in analysis and write up. Especially as some parts contradicted each other. Additionally the service was also very poor. would NOT recommend!

My daughter has been a patient with this group for as long as we have lived in Augusta (4 years). I keep bringing her back because I'm comfortable with the multiple diagnoses she received as a result of the thorough testing. She had received one of those diagnoses from another provider but I was never told why. Having the results of the testing explained to me helped me understand why my daughter received multiple diagnoses and I continue to rely on Dr. Turner to treat her as well as help me to encourage appropriate behaviors at home. Her favorite thing at Tranisitions is weekly Group Therapy.
