Capitol Auction & Estate Services LLC is a family-owned and operated company. Proprietors Terry and Patrice Mangum are experienced in both business and customer service industries. Capitol Auction & Estate Services conducts 20 to 30 auctions a year, most of which are Antique & Collectible auctions at its spacious, modern auction facility.
It seems that auctions have touched almost every century, every industry and every nationality. Auctions date back so far in history, that no one really knows for sure how they started or who started them. Records handed down from ancient Greek scribes document auctions occurring as far back as 500 B.C.
Terry and his team were outstanding. From start to finish there was a genuine interest in helping the family through the difficult time and a professionalism that was unmatched by other firms. His communication and flexibility were paramount in successfully navigating the estate sales process and his expertise in the field helped to guide us down the right road.

I left a two star review on Yelp primarily due to the fact that I saw an employee rudely demanding an elderly gentleman sanitize his hands and say “You know your hands are dirty.” Instead of apologizing and saying that they would address the issue or even ignoring my comments, they doubled down and excused the behavior as just showing that their employee was joking and overzealous in their concern for stopping COVID. They admitted that they couldn’t care less about their customers’ experience and said we were lucky to have them for all 10 years of their existence. Synonyms for zealot are
