Established in 1993, the Cougar Sports Network produces Asheville High School Sports for cable television and internet broadcast with our crew of AHS Digital Media students, staff, alumni, and volunteers. Varsity Football Cumulative offensive stats through the first eleven games are now available, thanks to Coach Burdette.

Tryouts will be held in the old girls gym at 9:00 am. If you missed this meeting and are still wanting to try out for cheerleading for the 2010-2011 school year. Please come by Asheville High Schools Main Office and get a Participation Form/Physical form. You must have a physical before you are allowed to try out and it needs to be on the Asheville High Athletic participation form.
If there were a memorable game prior to 1993 there would be no video documentation for TV broadcast. The Cougar Sports Network began operations in the fall of that year, guided by assistant superintendent Tim Amos.

The Cougar Sports Network now operates from a refitted surplus County ambulance that provides the capabilities for remote broadcast quality production of events by Asheville High students and volunteers ranging from AHS Madrigal Singers at St. Lawrence Basilica to a dramatic offering at one of the system's five elementary schools.
Below are pictures and information about our Cougar Sports Network broadcast commentators and staff. Each of our announcers are volunteers, who give generously of their time and effort to bring CSN broadcasts to your living room.

The first floor of the press box is reserved for members of the media. The Cougar Sports Network reaches more than 50,000 subscribers in Asheville and Buncombe County through Charter Cable and AT&T U-Verse. Most games have multiple air dates for bonus exposure of your business or organization.
