Roy Anderson founded the Roy Anderson Lumber Company in 1950 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, as a stave and circular grade mill. In 1996 Roy and his sons Lowery and David, built a new sawmill on the same site as the original mill. In 2000, the family purchased a sawmill in Eubank, Kentucky, adding headrig capability, resaw, computerized optimizer/edger, and multiple dry kilns.
