The Pilot House
It was our first time in the Apostle Islands and this house helped make our stay perfect! It had everything we needed and was steps away from shops, bars, restaurants, and the water! We sat out on the back porch many times to relax and enjoy the peaceful neighborhood. We were also lucky enough to meet the owners who made sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed.

Lovely place to stay! My husband and I had an amazing time in Bayfield and this place was the perfect place to hang our hat each night. Very clean and comfortable. This property is in prime location. Walk to anywhere within minutes. But nicely tucked back in neighborhood that is very quiet. The room is great, beds are comfy.
Services
Jack was born in Ashland Wisconsin, a town just east of Bayfield on Lake Superior, and Marie grew up south of here. So we both have a thorough knowledge of-and strong attachment to-the area. Although life took us to other places, we always dreamed of retiring in the Bayfield area. With this goal in mind we purchased our first condo in 2008.
Andrew Tate Condo #200, located in the heart of downtown, is one of the newest most luxurious condos in Bayfield. The window and balcony views of uptown, downtown, Madeline Island, the harbor, and park are excellent-you will love it!

Within walking distance of everything in downtown Bayfield: block from the water, block from the dock with large and small boat charters, 1 block from Madeline Island Ferry, block from Memorial Park, 1.5 blocks from a swim beach, kayak rental & more! There is a coffee shop in the building. The condo is -3 blocks from a second coffee shop, restaurants, stores, art studios, museums, marinas and a grocery store!
Washington Avenue Condominiums are in downtown Bayfield at the corner of 1st Street and Washington Avenue, just a few steps to the Madeline Island Ferry landing, a beach and kayak rentals, and just 1-4 blocks from coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, museums, the library, boat charters and marinas.
The historic Hendrickson House sleeps 5 and is a modernized, beautifully decorated, fully-furnished vacation home in the heart of historic Bayfield. The house has hardwood and slate floors, a fireplace, a whirlpool bath, a king bed, a twin bed, a queen sofa sleeper, a fully equipped kitchen, cable & WiFi, a deck and a front porch.
At Ships Quarters, a restored historic Bayfield home, is conveniently located in downtown Bayfield on North Broad Street, next door to the Bayfield Historical Museum, across the street from the Bayfield Carnegie Library, and a few steps from Rittenhouse Avenue. The main harbor dock, cruise services, parks, walking trails and the ferry dock are just 4 blocks away, and shops and restaurants are even closer.

We had a great stay in the Crew's Quarters. The room was updated, very clean & quiet. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck for coffee & breakfast in the morning. Gorgeous view and easy to walk to everything. Thank you Jack for the clear communication. We had a great time in Bayfield!

Reservations were quick and easy to make and we heard back right away. Jack was a hoot...such a story teller. Place is very nice and we had front row seats to the town's fireworks right off the deck. Would like to stay there once when there are not COVID guidelines still needed. I recommend!!

The location, accommodations and views at the Pilot House were wonderful! The hospitality received was initially hostile and then non-existent. We bought our newly washed bikes into our room because I couldn't find my bike lock key. I was immediately greeted with an extremely rude text from Jack. We never saw him during our entire stay which was from a Monday to a Thursday. This was by far the worse Bed and Breakfast experience that I ever had. He sounded so nice on the phone...

Rooms with a million dollar view of Lake Superior and a great host and hostess in Jack and Marie. In the common area you can sit and enjoy a panorama view of the lake. You are close to many restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our stay and will book a return trip in the near future.
