Since 1953, Lawson's Hearing Center has been a family owned and operated practice serving our community. Lewis Lawson started Lawson's optical on the corner of Front Street and Main Street and focused on helping people with their eyesight. Robert Lawson joined his father Lewis and started fitting hearing aids in the mid-1980's.
In 2002, we moved to our current location at 57 Front Street as Lawson's Optical and Hearing Center. During this time Robert and Pamela Lawson owned and operated the business helping people with their eyesight and hearing needs, before gradually phasing out optical services. A few years later, Lawson's Hearing Center was primarily focused on helping the community with their hearing needs.

There are many possible causes of hearing loss such as head/ear trauma, ear infections, certain medications, or most commonly, noise exposure. Certain underlying health issues (keep scrolling for more info) also contribute to the cause of hearing loss.

I suffer with severe noise induced hearing loss. 5 years ago I purchased my first hearing devices. They were from another hearing center things went well until this center sold out their family business and were bought by a huge so called hearing & health company. my oh my how things changed. no more small business/family type treatment . I was struggling with my devices. my quality of life was tanking. Yes they were a few years old but they would do nothing but state these are dinosaurs you
