Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Tick or Treat event here at Northwest Medical Center has been canceled. Northwest Medical Center would like to extend our sincerest "THANK YOU" to Bevill State Community College for their donation of $ 850.00 towards Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening. This donation will provide 17 free mammograms to women in need in the surrounding counties.

Services
Northwest Medical Center provides services at the main hospital campus, satellite clinics and professional office buildings. Providing a wide range of services that focus on the needs of your patients is our primary objective. However, we realize that there are some concerns shared by physicians who make referrals.
Throughout its rich history, Northwest Medical Center has remained intertwined with the growing community it serves. The Winfield Hospital had its official opening in 1949 and since that time has been serving the primary health care needs of Marion, Fayette, Lamar, Walker and Winston Counties. In this modern era, Northwest Medical Center has added many specialized services reaching beyond our primary service area into a regional service facility.
The Hospitalist program offers medical doctors who specialize in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized patients and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. A hospitalist is a medical doctor who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. Hospitalists are trained in general internal medicine and other medical specialties.
Northwest Medical Center's Health Information Department (Medical Records) creates, maintains and protects patient medical records. The Medical Record staff works diligently by completing "Release of Information" requests for patients and providing accurate medical chart information for insurance payments, while protecting private patient information.
Having a list of all your medicines in one place also helps your physician, pharmacist, hospital, or other healthcare workers take better care of you. Print a copy of a form that will help you keep track of all of your medications. List all of the medications you currently take, including herbals, over-the-counter, and prescription medications.

As a proudly vaccinated and boosted, retired educator member of a medical family (total of 7 retired or current nurses) long associated with the hospital in Winfield, no matter the name changes over the years, and with distant familial ties to the German Jewish community I am highly insulted that anyone associated with the University of Alabama Birmingham or the medical community in Winfield would require non vaccinated employees to wear yellow badges to mark their guilt. Symbols are important and history teaches important lessons if anyone bothers to engage their brain. Michael Wendom's teachers

Don’t go. Long waits, which is understandable. But you won’t see your nurse for hours with no way to contact them unless you go search the hallways. They leave the doors open and there’s 2 people to a room. So you have no privacy. I’ve heard everyone in this hospitals business since I’ve been here. The doctor had the worst attitude and wasn’t even helpful. He was willing to write me a pain prescription (which I didn’t ask for) but wouldn’t actually look into the problem to see what was going on. There was also a man in crying for over an hour asking where he was and what was going

THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! They have treated me horrible every time I’ve been there. Told them I thought I broke my thumb and they told me it wasn’t an emergency and that I need to go home! Refused to even get me an X-ray. They do NOT treat me fair!! I would not recommend this hospital to anyone EVER!

I will not be going back to Dr. Abele, I went to have a cyst checked and couple of .oles. I made a comment about another dermatologist making a scheduling error so they couldn't remove the cyst until October. Dr. Abele proceeded to comment that he couldn't stop the entire clinic to remove it same day and could make an appt. I never asked for it to be removed that day and certainly didn't expect "to stop the entire clinic". It was rude and uncalled for.

So thankful for our local hospital and all of the employees. I want to thank Molly Carothers and Kathy Wright on Med-Surg for taking such great care of me when I was feeling so sick. Also, the ER staff was very pleasant and helped me get registered very quickly. Thank you for being so attentive and compassionate to me!! I love our Hospital!

Pertaining to my visit on 1/13/21 to Amanda Godsey's office: I usually don't rate places based off of one visit, but since the service provided to me was exceptionally excellent, here I am! The care that was given was thorough and the staff was extremely courteous and professional. I did not have a long waiting time at all. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Highly recommend!

I am completely disappointed in how my boyfriend and I got treated tonight. Nurse was beyond rude yelling how my boyfriend had tested positive for covid and that I needed to get out of the hospital and I better not take my mask off.. I understand everyone is going though a lot at this time but why take it out on your patients and their family members. Plus isn’t what she done a hippa violation?

My husband had a pressure wound on his back. It would not heal. We went to Northwest Medical Center Wound Center in Bentonville. Dr Katherine Barton is AMAZING! . My Husband is on his way to recovery thanks to her treatment. Ravella & Dixie were so nice & made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend Dr Katherine Barton if you ever need a wound doctor.
