Our company was started by Victor Bothwell in 1956 when he immigrated to the United States from Ireland. During the summer of 1958 he decided to return home to follow in his fathers footsteps as a dairy farmer. His younger brother Ernie Bothwell our current President, and his younger brother Gerald took over the company and guided it through decades of growth in lower Fairfield County.

Let us make your old driveway new again. We offer all the masonry accents: Belgian Block Curbing and aprons. We have been paving driveways, parking lots, and roads in New Canaan, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Stamford, Greenwich and Wilton since 1956. We hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

I reached out to Darien Asphalt because of all of the positive reviews I came across on Google and other sources, including a referral from a friend of mine who used them for his driveway. Ernest promptly came by my home in April (same day I put the call in) and spent time assessing my driveway project, and measuring. He assured me he would provide a bid within a few days, which would include all options discussed. It is June, and regardless of countless follow ups on my part, neither Ernest, or Darien Asphalt responded to my emails or calls. As a result, I have moved forward with a different company
