Mount Pleasant Herbary was founded in the spring of 2009 by Gudrun Feigl. The Herbary is located in the rolling hills of Wayne County, 20 minutes North of Honesdale in Mount Pleasant Township, Pennsylvania. In "History of Wayne County" which was originally published in 1880, Mount Pleasant Township is called the "Switzerland of Pennsylvania".
Today our 2-acres farm is still surrounded by open farm land and wildflower meadows. After moving from Germany to the US in 2002, Gudrun desperately missed the wide selection of herbal tea blends she could choose from in her home country - so she started to grow her own. Shortly after, she added botanical soaps, salves, foot baths, and other herbal creations to her product line.

Services
Most items in our store are locally made - all soaps, teas and salves are handcrafted with herbs from the Mount Pleasant Herbary Garden. We are a European Style Cafe, featuring organic baked goods by 2Lulus and Specialties by Brandenburg Bakery. We serve our own organically grown herbal tea blends - hot or iced and French Press coffee from local coffee roaster Black & Brass.
