The medical team and the detox experience was grade A. 5 stars.
The techs that work there are there for the right reasons and made great conversation and were always accommodating to the best of their ability.
The program is so unstructured it's basically just a hangout house for a month. The counselors give off very strong attitudes of just being there for a paycheck while they are applying elsewhere. The program director doesn't have a clue what his counselors are holding group topics on and they overlap each other constantly. I was given a treatment plan without ever even meeting with anyone

Wonderful experience! The staff is exceptional in every way and make you feel like you’re part of their family. From the CEO, Director, Counselors, Techs, Nurses, Dr’s, Kitchen Staff to the Maintenance guys… they’re all fabulous! Their rehab program is excellent and they keep you involved with A.A. big book studies, A.A. meetings, meditation and other activities. No matter the addiction, this place will be a wonderful choice for you.

I just recently got out of great oaks recovery. You will not find a better, attentive , caring nursing staff, techs or individual counseling. You are made as comfortable as possible, and there is room to walk around . Lots of property, a fire pit when it's cold out. And nova the great oaks recovery dog , she needs it too. Lol. Jody , Mike

Great oaks saved my life! After struggling with drug and alcohol addiction for years, great oaks was there for me through the hardest time of my life. I can’t say enough about the hospitality. The staff is second to none. The facility is beautiful and makes you feel at home. I would highly recommend great oaks to anyone who is struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.

I struggled with finding a place to go for rehab and talked myself out of going multiple times. When I got ahold of this place I knew it would be the best fit for me. I struggle with addiction but also have dealt with mental health stuff over the years. Great Oaks helped me work on both and gain a better understanding of what drives my addiction by working on my mental health struggles. Great Oaks truly saved my life and I can say that I have some hope that I never had before.

This is a beautiful facility. Some of the staff there are great at what they do, other's are just there for a paycheck. Management seems to be the downfall of this place. Corporate brought a former NFL quarterback in as the CEO, who did not have the skills nor knowledge of what he was doing. New CEO is BJ Coleman, you can look for yourself, it's all over the internet. The hospital he ran straight off the field had 75 violations. Feds and state investigated. He stepped down, of course. There is no life/work balance here.
Would not take an animal to this place under Colemans leadership.

Great Oaks is a family not just a recovery center. They saved my life and I love all of the staff and nurses like my own family. Not o my is the food great also but the women who make it are even more amazing people. I felt at home and safe while I was there and would send my own son there if it ever came to that God forbid. They genuinely care about each and every person there and I love talking at the fire pit, swimming, watching movies on the weekends in bean bag chairs with everyone, learning to have fun while sober is just as Important as learning about our disease and how to treat it.

The alumni team is amazing Jody always includes us in meetings and makes it known that we are greats oaks family for life without her hard work it would be hard to keep in touch with gorc family members . I have struggled for years and have been to multiple treatment facilities. Coming to Great Oaks was one of the best things to happen to me! The nursing staff were great and very receptive. They ensured I was comfortable and saw to it that all of my medication needs were met. The food was good. The staff was extremely friendly! The counselors were very knowledgeable and great at helping me with my needs. They gave me a big book and helped me understand how AA has the tools that can help me. They pointed me in the right direction and I am forever grateful for Great Oaks!

Great oaks is a waste of your time. It should just be called oaks recovery because it's so underwhelming. You see a counselor for an hour a week. 4 hours total for the 30 days you're in rehab. They couldn't possibly assist in diagnosing you with the psychiatrist via teleconference. The doctors aren't on site and once you're out of detox good luck getting an appointment. If you aren't serious about your recovery you could easily sneak something in. They don't check the detox bedrooms before/after each admit. I slept on a bed with broken pool sticks stuffed in between

My brother and others are TRAUMATIZED from being here. My brother has been on the road to recovery so it wasn't his first rodeo in a rehab. He said it was like a prison/ asylum and that they would yell at and belittle patients, withhold their belongings, lock them in their rooms, and deny them contact even with family members. He said the patients were miserable. Don't believe the fake reviews. Comb through the Google reviews and you'll see these experiences happening to others. Invest your time and money elsewhere. This place is a nightmare.

Great Oaks Recovery Center did for me what no one else could... They saved me from years of alcohol abuse. The staff and counselors go above and beyond the norm by giving you the most effective tools to take with you on ones journey to sobriety.
The spectacular setting of G.O.R.C.(historic farm house)helps relax away the pain and memories of ones addiction.
Personally, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone truly looking for an effective treatment center.
