The Pauquette Center for Psychological Services offers a range of state-licensed mental health services to meet every need, including psychotherapy, AODA Treatment/Services, domestic violence and anger management treatment, group therapy, and more. The Pauquette Center provides individual psychotherapy for all age groups - children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Emotions and moods are facts of life. Day to day life can be overwhelming, leaving you with little energy and in a bad mood. It can be hard to know if what you are experiencing is the usual drain from a busy day to day or if it is a more serious emotional problem. That is because you don't need to have extreme emotions to have mood or emotional problems.
Anger is a normal emotion for all of us, but at times it can be too intense to manage. Has someone ever told you that you need anger management? Perhaps you have noticed frequent frustration, excessive conflict in relationships, regrets, aggressive or abusive behavior, or even legal involvement. If this is something you've been experiencing then you may benefit from anger management treatment.
How we feel about ourselves can make all the difference in the world. It can have a deep impact on the type of job we have, what we do with our time and the quality of our relationships. Sadly, many people suffer from low self-esteem that severely limit these and other areas of their lives. Untreated, chronic low self-esteem is often a risk factor for other concerning mental illnesses such as major depression and social anxiety.
Inattention, impulsivity, and/or hyperactivity are all possible symptoms of attention deficit and hyperactivity. There is no single test for diagnosing ADHD. That is why the Pauquette Center provides comprehensive assessments for people of all ages experiencing difficulties with inattention, impulsivity, and/or hyperactivity which may be due to ADHD or another condition.

I called and stated “I’m trying to find a counselor for my 5 year old son” and provided his date of birth. I told the lady I only had one day off and she had an availability. I got multiple reminder texts about the appointment. Then, appointment day rolls around and I pick my son up early from school and am on my way there when I get a text, 15-20 mins before the appointment that says the doctor only sees patients 6+ years and it’s cancelled. I wasted my only week day off (I’m normally m-f), took my child out of school early, and was on my way into the clinic by the time this message
