Manual Physical Therapy Specialists (MPTS) is an independently owned private practice consisting of a highly skilled therapist and a caring professional staff. Our clinic is dedicated to offering the best possible patient care and quality services. We specialize in the many different aspects of physical therapy, and work together to reach all goals and maximize functional gains for our patients.
Our therapist is trained to look at the individual as a whole, addressing all factors contributing to their particular condition. Our therapists continue to work one-on-one with their patients; patients are never left alone to perform exercises. We develop an appropriate treatment plan that will be a solution for not only your symptoms but helps to prevent the root cause of your pain.

Services
The clinicians at Manual Physical Therapy Specialists are highly trained in the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of orthopedic and sports injuries. We provide care based on the current best evidence and use state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment to facilitate a rapid recovery for even the most involved patients.
Patients that suffer from work-related injuries may meet the treatment goals of physical therapy but cannot return to work due to deconditioning (being out of shape). Personalized interventions are also provided to decrease the odds of re-injury upon return work.
Typically, these programs consist of personalized, full-body, intensive training with a focus on the activities that are similar to the physical demands required by a particular category of employment.

If you are a youth, collegiate, elite, or professional athlete, when you are injured, you need a physical therapist with experience rehabilitating sports-related injuries. Athletes place higher demands on the muscles and joints and also require sport-specific training to recover speed, power, and agility.
A balance disorder is a condition that makes you feel unsteady or dizzy. If you are standing, sitting, or lying down, you might feel as if you are moving, spinning, or floating. If you are walking, you might suddenly feel as if you are tipping over. Everyone has a dizzy spell now and then, but the term "dizziness" can mean different things to different people.
A collaborative effort between your doctor and our physical therapy team can make a difference. Physical therapy starts with a thorough evaluation of your health & fall risk factors. We will then set up on on a personalized prevention program to address the findings we identify during your initial visit.

I started having lower back pain about ten years back. With various physical therapy sessions, it became manageable, but not fully cured. When I had a recent flare up, I went to MPTS and had initial set of PT sessions. Each one of the PT sessions added confidence that I am recovering well. I feel much better now and I hope that with the remaining sessions I will be fully cured.

Kari is very knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to manual therapy techniques and getting to the root of the problem. He is the PT’s PT that we all go to when we need help ourselves. He has a broad range of skills and genuinely cares about getting people back to where they can function again. I’ve been to his practice twice now and highly recommend him to family and friends!

Prior to second hip replacement, Kari had expertly addressed a nagging back problem by finding the points of resistance and carefully releasing tension. He worked gradually over the course of the sessions and built a "Home Exercise Program" that keeps me pain-free and sleeping better! So there was no doubt about requesting his knowledgeable and patient approach for post-surgery Physical Therapy. Kari also made sure I knew to rest and eat better; and to give the healing process time. Although the therapy stretches and exercises necessarily became more demanding, Kari watched and waited to make sure

Kari is absolutely amazing! Not only is he a good person, but phenomenal at his job. I have done a lot of PT over the years and nothing has worked. The manual therapy he applies has created a muscle memorization to which my body has responded. I can now sleep without pain, my headaches have gone away, and I have much more range and motion to my body, hence activities. Thank you Kari, you are a true miracle worker!

I had a great experience working with Kari and noticed a significant difference in my pain levels after just the first few PT sessions! Over time I learned more about my body and how it functions, as well as how to take care of it so the same problems don't reoccur. Overall great experience with Kari, he cares about his patient's health and wellbeing; great person and PT, thank you!!

I wasn't even sure I needed physical therapy after I broke my kneecap. It didn't hurt anymore But Kari helped me walk with more balance and groundedness, turning my attention to hips and thighs. He was very attuned to what was going on in my body, explained everything to me, and treated me with compassion and humor. I am recommending him to everyone!
