Microchanneling is the new microneedling, which improves elasticity and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, age-spots, sun spots, and stretch marks. Microchanneling is a cosmetic procedure that consists of tiny punctures in the top layers of the skin, which we refer to as "channels" for product penetration.
A surgical scalpel is used at a 45-degree angle to remove dead cells, scar tissue, and other debris that may be making your skin's surface look uneven. It makes your skin's surface smooth, youthful, and radiant. The skin is regularly exposed to harsh environmental toxins, sun damage and irritants. This can cause the top layer of your skin to appear dull, and it can make you look aged.
Chemical peels are used to improve the appearance of the skin in many areas, such as the face, neck and hands. At Cosmetic Aesthetics we use 20% TCA (trichloroacetic acid) and Salicylic acid peels. These are nontoxic chemicals that cause the top layer of the skin cells to dry up and eventually peel off in about a week.
