In spite of the fact that I have been working with clients on anxiety management for years, I have not, until a month ago worked with clients addressing the anxiety caused by a life-threatening pandemic. Over this month, I learned from my work with clients many things to help avoid cascading anxiety and panic.

I should have posted here LONG ago. My experience at Meadowlark has been amazing. A few years ago, I admitted myself to a ward for a couple days. I even ended up on medical leave from work. Dr. Okiishi helped me so much during my struggle. We got me on the right "cocktail" of medications and I can't thank him enough. Once I got on those medications, I woke up a few days after starting them and called up my boss and was like, "Dude, I wanna come back to work right now!" I was so excited. Of course, I had to get the doctors approval first. Dr. Okiishi was visually happy for and I could tell he truly

The doctors I’ve had here have been okay but I feel like there’s been no progress in my treatment however I do feel the real problem with this facility is the receptionist staff or whoever the people at the front are. They’re incredibly rude to you in person, practically sociopaths with the way they communicate without any empathy or understanding to the patients, they’re also horrible at their jobs. I’ve called to reschedule before about a dozen times and never once has anyone answered the phone or called back, then when you can’t make the appointment you tried 3 times to reschedule

This is a difficult review to write.
my son has been in their care for an unknown period of time. it's unknown, because we haven't spoken until recently about our issues. he then gave me his counselor's contact info at meadowlark. i contacted the person, letting them know i was available for any kind of contact to help with my son's recovery. she wrote a very curt message stating, "I would like to acknowledge receipt of your correspondence. Due to HIPPA I can neither confirm nor deny that the individual you spoke of is my client. Please note that if they are my client, I have read the information

I had my first appointment with Dr. Lauer and she is wonderful! She listened and asked questions for over an hour (!) and made recommendation for reducing my stress and improving my GI health with supplements, which is how I prefer to manage my wellness.

A few days ago, I traveled from Cedar Rapids to N Liberty for a first session with a therapist, Jen Drew. I was sent to a second building to wait for her. After 20 minutes I phoned the reception to say I was still waiting in an empty building. She said that was strange and perhaps Drew was still in session. I waited another 15 minutes only to have to once again phone reception to if she had paged or called the therapist as she said she would do to let her know I was there. Again more time passed and nothing. No call from reception, no therapist. My third time calling reception and now told was

I found this place while looking around online after having a very traumatic experience with my previous doctor. My previous doctor left me high and dry in the middle of suicidal ideation and a medication change only because I asked if there was a different doctor I could talk to that maybe I would be able to have a conversation easier with.. Rob got me in the very next day and sat and talked with me for an hour just to make sure he totally understood the situation and could start to help me. He told me that I had been misdiagnosed and miss treated for probably a couple of years and that’s why

I initially brought my daughter here because I felt that Dr.Carpenter had a better approach to psychiatric issues than many more generic folk. When, however, I called him to seek advice, he was abrupt and insensitive - reeled off a name without much consideration at all.
Carpenter is cash only. We can't afford such luxuries (as most cannot). The doctor he recommended has been so inappropriate that it's mind boggling to realize that this fellow is paid to help troubled children and their families. I will not name him out of respect, but he is simply rude, condescending, impersonal, disinterested

Melissa Gentry is amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and shows that she truly cares about her patients. I drive 2 hours just to see her here at Meadowlark. I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to get in to see her at my appointments. Her nurse is very efficient and very friendly as well! Nothing but wonderful experiences here.

I have been receiving treatment here for the last several months for anxiety when I underwent one of the most traumatic experiences that a person can go through. As a result, I had mentioned that I planned to move (still in state) but had yet to do so. After waiting an extra half-hour for my appointment, they refused to treat me because they said that I had already moved (I actually just went out if town for 2 weeks to visit family) and no longer had a current local address. That wasn't the case and I even explained that to them. I haven't actually moved yet and none of my information has changed

Just started to see Dr. Carpenter about one month ago and he is by far the best doctor! He has straightened out my medications so they actually have a therapeutic affect and this is the best I have felt in over 9 years. I have been to many doctors who have used me as a "guinea pig" for more medications than I can remember; none of them worked. They were never interested in what I had to say or how the medication impacted my daily life, instead, they would up the dose making the side effects far worse. Glad I found Dr. Carpenter and I highly recommend him!! :)
