Botulinum Toxin- one of the most common medical spa procedures. Botulinum toxin works to temporarily paralyze the muscles to decrease fine wrinkles in the face. The toxin acts by binding to a protein at the neuromuscular junction to inactivate the muscle. This typically lasts approximately three to four months as this is the time it takes for the nerve terminal to regenerate.
While the muscle is temporarily paralyzed, the overlying skin is tightened above it, thereby lessening the appearance of wrinkles. This procedure is currently FDA approved for the glabellar (between eyes). As we age, the face undergoes a visible volume loss. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases, enhance facial contours, and plump the lips.

Dr. Mehrer, Carrie, and the rest of the staff at Orchid are amazing! I've gone to a lot of dermatologists and med spas that promise that their products or medicines will "cure" my skin issues. At Orchid, Carrie took the time to explain the treatments and the products they offer and developed a customized treatment plan just for me. I've had microneedling and laser treatments and facials. I went to Orchid because I heard they are not the typical pushy med spa trying to sell every service to you. I met with the physician and he had some recommendations, none of which were costly services. So it really felt like they were there to help. Since, I have elected for services and have been very happy so far.

I can’t be more impressed by the care that I’ve received at Orchid from Carrie, she has done amazing things for my skin. I’ve had facials, IPL and microneedling all done by Carrie and had dramatic results after just the first treatment. I never knew that my skin could look so good. Hello there! I was hoping my forehead would have less movement almost 2 weeks later. My first time trying xeomyn, prefer botox, that I know works for me and gives me results. It did soften crows feet and like the brow lift. I still have an almost gone bruise beside my left eye. Never experienced bruising with prior botox treatments. I give the product 5 out of 10 and likely won't try it again. I give the spa 10 out of 10. Great experience, staff were lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks so much.
