Bristlecone Bikes
Bristlecone Bikes was started by Matt Chadwell and John Gull. Matt and John are both avid cyclists and are excited to bring a genuine bike shop to this community. The purpose of starting Bristlecone Bikes is to be able to aptly serve all different types of cyclists in Elko and the surrounding areas.

Our mission is to offer a great selection of quality bicycles, components, accessories, and service with great customer service in a comfortable atmosphere. We have a passion for anything bikes and are pleased that we have the opportunity to serve this community. From professional bike repair and fitting services to top cycling products at exceptional prices, we've got you covered.
Services
The Rove AL 650 is a perfect entry-level bike suitable for pavement with tire clearance big enough for off-road riding. The Rove AL 650 keeps you rolling steady at a budget-friendly price. For those riders looking for a 650B-wheeled machine with all the features of its bigger-wheeled sibling, look no further.
The Crossroads is your companion to a better, fitter, and happier you-whether it be along the road or dirt path. It features a comfortable, upright geometry and reflective elements that increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions. On this Crossroads, you'll find Nimbus II Armadillo Reflect tires that all but eliminate flat tires, while still providing plenty of traction.
The Spyre SLC is a mechanical disc brake that offers superior performance with incredibly easy setup. This is a dual-piston-actuated mechanical disc brake caliper that provides precise clamping force. This translates into even pad and rotor wear, because the rotor does not need to flex to one side during braking.
The TRS Plus Cassette offers impressive range and crisp shifting performance on both SRAM and Shimano drivetrains. Using a unique two-piece, individually replaceable assembly and a 9t cog, the TRS+ provides superior ground clearance in a compact package so you can clean steeper climbs. More range, more fun, same standard.
A streamlined design with fewer moving parts and better seals makes for a dropper post that performs consistently and requires less maintenance. The updated Bontrager Line Dropper Post is easy to set up and now even easier to service. The cable-actuated hydraulic locking design provides proven functionality for bikes with internal routing.

I’ve had nothing but horrible experiences. I paid nearly $4,000 for a brand new bike and have bought two additional $700 treks from this shop and mistakenly found that this is not a place I’ll ever bring business to again. Shop at a true professional shop out of town.

They offer fast and friendly service. I've gone there a few times, including today & they always know what they're doing. Also if you need something that they don't have in store, they'll order it for you.

I rented an Electric Bike from Bristlecone Bikes and it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time! I ride mountain bikes and motorbikes a lot, the e-bike is my new favorite. Cheaper then a ski lift ticket and still got multiple laps. It would be fun for any skill level. We rode the local mountain bike trails in Snobowl and the Talbot trail in Lamoille canyon.
The staff at Bristlecone Bikes have been really awesome whenever I come in. Also, part of the pedal broke on the rental bike and they were really cool about it. I definitely plan to rent an e-bike again, it was so fun!

BAD TREATMENT, FREE SERVICES. This is the third time that my family and I went to Bristlecone Bikes in Elko Nv. Two of those three times we were treated very poorly. After the third time it was the straw that broke the camels back. The first time I went I personally took our childs bike and waited for 15 min to be seen only to be told that they have to order the part. And I was told by a young man that it was 17.oo. My husband came to pick up the bike and new part the PRICE DOUBLED and again he had to wait until someone knew that he was there. Today 10/1/18 I showed up to a shop that only allowed

Took my very old mtn bike to this place for the first time this week and they were amazing. Dillon answered all my questions and quickly repaired the problem. Will definitely come back in future and recommend the store to everyone.

Great customer service! I bought a very expensive lemon from another bike company and they took pity on me and fixed it up like new. They also have a good selection, especially for a smaller town. Check em out!

This place is really expensive poor quality I bought a really nice bike from there and my crank arm striped out from soft metal in less than a week. We went back to the place to have them replace it because It was supposed to be warranted but they still charged $53.00 for one crank arm

This shop just opened up and it is awesome. Already bought a bike from them. Super nice to have legit place in town to get parts on demand. The shop appears to be full service as well. Had them tune up a custom wheelset and bleed a dropper post.
