My love for music started at an early age. I was introduced to a variety of different genres growing up. As a DJ I'm passionate about my love for music. Celebrating & Entertaining runs in my blood! When you are planning an event or wedding, choosing the entertainment is the most important part of success. I take pride in what I do and I will give it my all for your day. Plus I have Liability Insurance for our DJ services. I offer a variety from top 40, Old School, Disco, Country, Hip Hop, Electro, Oldies, Swing, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Bollywood, Classic Rock.you name it.

We recently had Modern Symphony provide services to my wedding on 9/25. We had Mark as our DJ. Mark was AMAZING. I've always heard that the DJ could make or break a wedding/event, but Mark was PERFECT! He had the best music selection. Everyone was out on the floor dancing and having a great time. Even people who don't dance were out there. People were talking about it for days! Honestly it was my favorite part of the whole event. He provided excellent services. He was kind and provided great advice for song selection. I would highly recommend and use his services in the future.

We had so many last minute changes due to it raining less than an hour before our ceremony and they went above and beyond to adapt and make everything perfect! they had great communication and completely surpassed our expectations! DJ was supposed to show up to the reception dinner he never did (assuming because we paid the service in full the day prior). We had 2 phone calls and multiple email exchanges to get expectations clear and he did the complete opposite of what we wanted. I spent a year putting together our playlist along with choreographed dances all we needed him to do was to play the playlist in the order it was in our Spotify. He played songs out of the list as well as mixing the order throughout the entire night amid our reminders. My entrance to the ceremony was also wrongly timed. I feel so unhappy about the

We absolutely loved working with Tim leading up to our wedding and he was incredible on the day of, dealing with a complicated set of requests with ease. Even with a late addition of adding singers to both the ceremony and toasts, Tim accommodated our request without a second thought. He was also great with the music and dancing, incorporating a playlist of songs that our guests requested in their RSVPs and adding his picks to keep people entertained and on the dance floor.

My husband and I had a great time at our wedding thanks to the fun music throughout the night. Tim was an amazing DJ! They were very professional and kept the party going the whole night. They got everyone on the dance floor and were great at noticing what songs were a hit with the guests (all Bay Area music as that is where we are originally from). We danced the whole night away and our guests kept telling us they had the best time. Even a month after our wedding I still hear from our friends that our wedding was the most fun!

Tim is amazing!! Seriously, my husband and I are beyond grateful for Tim and his partner. We didn't have a wedding coordinator at our wedding and I was feeling nervous about the flow of the day. However, Tim did such an incredible job of directing people and helping everything to flow perfectly. We honestly could not have done it with out him!! Aside from that, his DJ skills were on point! We were very privileged to have Modern Symphony DJ at our daughter's wedding. Tim went above and beyond, even when we had last minute changes for the venue he was so accommodating. He met with us several times and helped us coordinate. Throughout the wedding and reception he made sure we were comfortable and on schedule without any pressure. Everything flowed so smoothly throughout the evening and he was right on time with the music we picked out for the timeline... Tim Lopez was extremely helpful from beginning to end. He was responsive and helped us get everything figured out. On the day of him and his assistant did a great job of entertaining guests and keeping the flow of the wedding. They worked well with my husband and I to figure out what we wanted to do and if any changes needed to be made as far as the wedding timeline. They were very productive and all the guests including ourselves had a wonderful and stress free evening. He gave us a really good price and provided all the lighting and even a personalized monogram.

We might be a little biased, but Tim and Modern Symphony delivered the best party of our lives. From the first time we talked, it was clear Tim had everything under control and knew exactly what he was doing. From getting a mic set up for our ceremony, to the speeches, to perfect sound around our entire venue (much of it outdoors), to the beautiful bistro lights that created the atmosphere we wanted, Tim and his crew got it all done flawlessly. Tim was wonderful! Attentive and very helpful at my daughter Madeleine's June 2nd wedding at the Santa Maria Inn. He came to the rehearsal and made sure that the music she chose worked and offered helpful suggestions for songs and for keeping things moving along with our timeline.
When the time came to dance he picked all the right songs to keep several generations on the dance floor and really made the whole party enjoyable for everyone. I have been involved in the planning of several weddings and he is hands down the best DJ we have ever used. I would recommend him to anyone.

We don't currently reside in the Central Coast so it was important for us to find vendors who were flexible, able to answer our questions in a timely manner, and make us feel comfortable. The first impression was made over the phone by Mark Gonzales, and the passion and charisma definitely showed! After having all the right answers to our questions ranging from music choices, to interactions with guests, to master of ceremonies, we had to book right away!

We hired Tim for our wedding in Moorpark Country Club in June 2016, and it was a pleasure! Part of the wedding guests were swing dancers (as well as me and my wife) , so we wanted to have all of our guests feel happy with the music set. We asked Tim to mix modern pop music and swing dance and he did a fantastic job! We would recommend Tim as your wedding DJ! :)

This DJ is so awesome!!! My sister's wedding reception was a mix of Ghanaian, Bollywood, and American music. He did a great job in playing the right music at the right time. We had over 300 guest and everyone had a great time on the dance floor and couldn't stop dancing as he did such a good job. The sound quality was great too. The wedding reception went very smooth and he delivered as promised. We have hired him for our next 3 events this year!

I cannot describe how happy my husband and I are for making a decision to book Tim for our Santa Barbara wedding. First of all, he was a pleasure to deal with from the get go. Tim knows how to keep the party going! There's nothing that can make or break an event like the DJ, and Modern Symphony always strikes the right tone for whatever your event may be. I have attended several events that Tim has Dj'd and he has personally worked events that I have planned. His lighting and music are always a highlight. I was SO extremely disappointed with this DJ at my wedding. When my (now) husband and I had met with him a few months before the wedding, he seemed charismatic, fun, and truly interested in his profession and clients.
