Shelley was an amazing resource as my wife and I adopted our daughter. She gave us lots of (free) information as we began the homestudy process, and she was immediately responsive and unflappable as we got news of her arrival only days before she was born. Shelley was by our side with even-keeled answers to our anxious questions as we awaited finalization, and she went to court and got all our paperwork lined up so that the whole process went very smoothly. Her fees are clear and very reasonable, and her expertise is unparalleled.

I am so happy that I chose Shelley Ballard to handle my adoption. She was on top of every detail from start to finish. My life is very busy and I never had to worry about following up or reminding her about anything. She pushed things forward quickly and consistently. Can’t say enough good things about Shelley. Our adoption process was a long one due to factors outside anyone’s control, but Shelley was there for us every step of the way and kept us thinking positively. She was up front with us, did a great job explaining the process, and was always very responsive to calls and emails (a rare quality in and of itself). She was very diligent in following up for things.
If we decide to adopt a second time, we’ll definitely be giving her a call!

We first met Shelley many years ago when she helped walk us through the adoption process in Illinois. Attorney Ballard was simply great and very professional. She assisted my family twice with the adoption of both of our sons.
