Services
Our professional drivers come from a wide range of backgrounds consisting of trainers, farriers, professional competitive riders, grooms, horse farm managers, yearling managers, broodmare managers and professional horse haulers that have worked for other companies or owned their own. All have extensive horse experience prior to their employment as a horse transporter with Brook Ledge.
We do not have 'set dates' for travel. Please call us or fill out a quote form for more information. Our goal is not to ship every horse; our goal is that every horse we ship receives the same excellent care our brand was built on. Multiple Weekly trips to Lexington, Kentucky from the Northeast and Florida (and vice versa).
In addition to operating our own full service maintenance shops in Oley, PA and Lexington, KY, we have been building our own custom horse vans at the Oley facility for the last 25 years. Our trailers are designed for maximum comfort and safety. We've even added fans to our trailers to keep air moving during traffic conditions or loading/unloading.
Brook Ledge offers high quality layover facilities for your horse, if a layover is necessary. Layover facilities are located directly on the Brook Ledge farms and are owned by the company, each location is gated and locked at night. You can rest easy knowing where your horse is and who is taking care of them.
In addition to taking good care of your horse, we at Brook Ledge are concerned that your horse travel in the optimum stall space to reduce stress during the trip. Although we supply the standard stall alternatives (stall and a 1/2 or box stall), we urge our customers to consider the box stall option.

Brook Ledge is the absolute best!!! Hauled my horse from Tucson to Versailles. As someone else said, it's so nerve wracking to have your beloved horse on the road for all those hours. To have complete confidence in the shipper means everything! I would give them 10 stars if I could .They took wonderful care of my guy, and he's here safe and sound. Thank you, Brook Ledge!

We briefly followed two of your larger trailers across I-64 outside of Lawrenceburg and Frankfort for several minutes and wanted to compliment the drivers on having a well secured, insulated, and safe consistent ride! I imagine the horses and their owners will appreciate knoswing that even on an average day like today (5/11/2020) the care of their animal appears to be the highest priority! I know how nerve wracking transport can be for both horse and owner, especially when you factor in hills and other drivers who might not respect the fact that the trailers may have live animals.

I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of communication from the initial booking process to pick up and delivery. This company was more expensive than others and I would have expected a more seamless process. My horse was picked up without contacting me first...they called the barn owner. The delivery was equally unexpected...with just a 2 hour notice.

Brook Ledge came recommended and I paid top dollar expecting top level service, but transport with Brook Ledge turned into a nightmare. My horse left CA carrying extra weight then arrived 3 days later in MI emaciated with chipped teeth much later than promised. He dropped a huge amount of weight in their care!
I was told he would be held over in Lexington for 1-12 hours, but they ended up keeping him overnight so closer to 24 hours. Also, they made a big deal about me having a bundled bale of hay for him to eat along the trip to be sure he was getting hay he is accustomed to so I went to the

Good experience with a horse going from Florida to Texas. Driver let me know when they would arrive. When the rig was too big for the access road the driver happily walked the horse down to the barn. They were able to give me an update on his eating and drinking on the trip. Very pleased with the service

I cannot say enough about Brook Ledge! We hired them to transport our beloved horses from PA to FL and we were pleasantly surprised by the above and beyond care, service and professionalism. I would definitely recommend them. The guys were fabulous and so were the people back at the office. A great experience.

Brook ledge drove my horse from Connecticut to Florida and although there were numerous miscommunications (I was not told they were stopping in New York and Ocala before coming to Jacksonville), 26 hours later he arrived safe, happy, and healthy. No weight loss or issues. The drivers always gave me updates throughout the trips and answered all of my calls. They even texted me pictures when he left New York. (I would give 3 stars to this trip just because I had no idea how many changes they were making from Connecticut to Florida until they happened). Recently I was in a panic trying to get my horse

I love the drivers and professionals who transport the horses at Brook Ledge. Unfortunately, their office staff are arrogant and cranky women. I called in my credit card information to Leslie Stevenson and she was rude, condescending and impatient. I am a highly educated person and she treated me like I was the village idiot, saying things like "I do a hundred of these bills of lading every day and nobody else has ever had a question" and "that's what you entered on the form, it's right there in front of you," when I kindly asked who they would notify of pickup

I have not done business with this company. However, we were traveling next to one of their trucks on 301 north of Ocala. The driver of this truck was driving dangerously close to other trucks in the rain and trying to cut in between cars in heavy traffic while gesturing to drivers. I would not trust a company who employs drivers that behave like this to transport my horses.
