The Los Alamos School of Gymnastics (LASG) is a non-profit, member-owned and parent-operated organization. Recreational and competitive gymnastics for girls and boys from ages two through high school. LASG has been in operation since 1976, and under the direction of Loui Janecky since 1981. The gym space is also available for birthday parties.

The Los Alamos School of Gymnastics is a member club of USA Gymnastics. The summer registration forms are here! Please go to "Classes" or "Camp" sections to download, or come by the office to pick them up. Remember that you need to speak with the director to make sure your child is enrolled in the correct class!
Services
Los Alamos School of Gymnastics (LASG) is a "Member Club" of USA Gymnastics (USAG) and totally supports the USAG philosophy of "Athletes First, Winning Second." We teach gymnasts (children), not gymnastics (the sport). At LASG, we believe learning takes place best in a stress-free, fun environment.
Various after school programs are available to meet your needs and can be combined with formal instruction classes. Please inquire with the office about availability and pricing. Students in classes meeting more thanonce a week, or the after-school programs, are assessed 2 hours or $50/session. Students inclasses meeting 1 time/week are assessed 1 hour or $25/session.
At LASG, we are proud to field both a Girls' Team and a Boys' Team. Girls who have achieved the Bronze Level or above and are deemed qualified by the Director are part of our travel team and compete at meets throughout New Mexico. Our team is participating in the Xcel program, an alternative optionals program for levels Copper through Diamond (levels 3 through 10 equivalent).
Children who have not taken gymnastics classes before enrolling at LASG will in almost every case be assigned to a recreational level class. These include Mommy and Me, Preschool, Kinder-Rec, and Levels 1-2 Copper. The decision to "move up" is made by the head coach in consultation with the child's instructor, and is influenced by the child's skill progression, maturity level, and age.
Looking for an alternative to Daycare for your elementary-aged child? Los Alamos School of Gymnastics has the answer with the most flexible program in town! Join our Summer Sports Camp Program for 1 to 5 days per week, full days, half days, or any combination. Drop off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick up by 6:00 p.m. Half day starts or ends at 12:30 p.m.

We have been a part of this gym for the past 7 years. I can't say enough about the director, coaches and volunteers that run this gymnasium. We appreciate the structured approach to coaching and self discipline. The coaches have a no nonsense approach that motivates their athletes to rise to the challenge. They offer after school care and a summer sports camp that are also very good. They fill up quick, so if you're interested call early.

We had my 4yr old's birthday party here, and the experience was mixed. Unfortunately, the rules were not communicated well and one parent got chewed out for being on the floor after they originally told us we could be. The way this was handled was very unprofessional, and it was a bad look in front of the kids to have a parent getting yelled at. If they have a rule about parents being on the floor, they should state this rule before yelling at a parent. The floor time was cut short by about ~20min, as no one told us there was a hard stop at the 60 min mark (we reserved 120 min). A number of folks

This is a very good place for children, children can have fun but yet be safe at the same time. The coaches are very well trained and will pay attention to the gymnasts. This is a great place!😊

LOVE LASG! We are so lucky to have a full size gymnastics gym in our small town! AND to have competitive gymnastics, recreational programs, and summer/day camps for both boys and girls! Both my daughter and son have grown up as gymnasts at LASG. It has been a fantastic experience for them, and a valuable resource for me--thank you Loui!

Omg. Very awful people. Here now for a meet for gymnastic competition. Saw daughter a little upset and seemed like she got hurt, so as a parent I went down stairs to make sure she was ok. The first thing out of their mouth was you can't be down here. WOW!!! treated me like a criminal. I was like I need to make sure she is ok. But nope they said that if I didn't go back up they were going to get all kicked out. Thank God I'm a Christian because I would have everybody kicked out lol.
