La Z Acres Campground

Concert venue review. 2021
Went out twice this year. BYOB! Seriously. Bring in a cooler if you want. I had no idea what to expect. Gravel driveway past a booth that had our name on the list. Small parking area for visiting fans. Most parking is at each individual camp site. These are some elaborate exterior structures covering a camper or trailer(see pic). Residents sitting on decks, chairs, swings and golf carts everywhere. Make your way to the office for passes to your reserved area. The venue was a lawn bowl where golf carts, blankets and lawn chairs were scattered(see pic). A large well equipped

I stayed here for 4 wonderful relaxing days. This campground is like no other I've been to. You can camp by tent or RV. You can stay 1 night or move here in your RV & stay 352. There's so much to do here from cruising around on a golf cart to taking a dip in the swimming pool then listen to the live music on the weekend. Need more ice to put over the those brews in the cooler? Have no fear, they sell bags of ice here! They even have a venue hall available to rent for weddings, reunions etc.. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to stay here. If I could've stayed longer, I would have.

Hillbillies galore! We had a BLAST! Concerts, bingo, pool time, tons of spots! Buyer beware! GET A GOLF CART. You are wrong if you think you don't need one. Lol. Staff was incredible. Planning our next outing!

My experience here as a camper wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t the best. They are expanding the sites and none of them are marked so when you need to tell someone where you are it’s a nightmare. Our site was extremely unlevel! We had to use 3 extension cables to plug power into another campsite the sewer is really high out of the ground! On top of that no fire ring or picnic table the golf cart we rented at 45$ a day the back seat was busted turn signal stock was hanging by wires. The live music was nice. Not totally sure if I’ll come back after this experience

The owner of LA-Z Acres Campground is unreasonable and unprofessional. The website quoted an entry price to see an amazing band and when we arrived to the venue we were overcharged. When this was brought to the attention of the owner he brushed us off and said that if we did not like the price that he decided to charge we were welcome to leave. He did not take any responsibility for the mistake that was made and was rude in his response. There was seven of us so in all we were overcharged by $35. I was very unhappy with the treatment we received. I felt robbed

We had a lot of fun here! The band was good and the concert was chill! You could go down by the stage or stay in the grass.
Pool was nice and people were too!

Nice place to get away. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Needs an adult pool separate from kids.

We had our family reunion here. Worst experience we have had. Owners aloud permanent camper owners to park in our cabin parking spot. The camper owners actually told us we had no right parking there. Paid for tables that got taken from us 2 times by the owners. Our children got charged twice for the bands. The gas grill we had for the reunion got took with food on it while reunion was going on. The absolute worst experience ever!

Fantastic time! We we’re quite uncertain how we would be fit in to this site, as they are mainly set trailers. We got a spot and the gentleman, Mason, driving a golf cart, lead us to our location. Right away I could notice how friendly these folks were, as he waved and said hello to everyone along the way. The spot was quiet and absolutely perfect for us! The grounds were a little rowdy after hours, but it wasn’t a bother to us at all. As we left, all the neighbors smiled and waved, starting us off on a great foot today. Thanks for the excellent stay!

Many campgrounds are usually for weekend/vacation/short duration campgrounds. Others are mostly seasonal/permanent. Some are a combination of both. LA-Z acres seems to be 95% permanent/seasonal. In my opinion, the weekend short duration campers are not their first priority.
That said, they do have a nice stage and are noted for booking entertaining bands/acts for their stage. We wanted to see a favorite band play and have a fun weekend. We did achieve that, and we will be back, but we went in knowing this was not your typical weekend camping trip. I booked way ahead. They don't assign

This is by far the most fun and active campground we've ever been too. There is always some kind of entertainment going on and the people are so friendly. This is a fun place to visit and love the updates the owners are constantly making.

When we first arrived there was no one to check us in. Called the phone number and nobody answered the phone. Drove around the campground looking for the store. They had my reservation written down on paper with no site number listed. Staff was confused. Sites are very small with no room between sites. Had to wake up 2 other campers so they could move their trucks just so we could leave in the am. Ton of kids riding golf carts around till 3am. Definitely not a kid friendly campground. A lot of Drinking and driving golf carts all day. Woke up to trash on our site from ppl walking through and leaving

BEWARE - Website photos grossly misrepresent this place. We left without camping and gladly forfeited our deposit to not stay in this dump. Many of the campers here were trashy, dirty, and decaying in such a way that fosters insect and rodent issues. The staff was drunk upon our arrival during office hours and the trailers were so tightly jammed in backed up to each other that I could not spread my arms out between them.

How do I make reservations? The phone number doesn't work and no reply from the website.

We decided to drop our camper in a permanent spot close to Zanesville. The grounds and facilities are clean and improvements seem to be non stop! Great little restaurant and store, it also seems to be the morning gathering place. There is always something going on, entertainment wise. Camper (as always) are helpful and nice. We are absolutely happy with our choice

We have camped here for quite some time. Since the new owners took over this Spring there have been nothing but improvements. There is a positive vibe here that hasn't been seen in years. The campground is clean, the pool sparkles and is always full. Weekends bring entertainment and fun. There is always something going on. We are glad to be here.
