This late 1800s home in Manchester, NH has been through a lot of phases since the new homeowners took ownership. The porch we worked on went from a deck, remodeled later with walls into a windowed sunroom mostly for a bunch of plants. The client called us looking to have the floors updated from a cheap laminate to new porcelain tile, creating a superior covering for a mudroom floor that would survive the changing New England seasons.
We worked closely with a local interior designer in Londonderry, NH to install a tile backsplash. The old travertine backsplash was removed first. New cement board was screwed into walls for prep. We had to shim wall board to get it plumb since the tile would be having multiple angles center there on the corner wrap.
Homeowner's husband tried a DIY method for installing tile. Used pre-mixed mastic instead of thin-set mortar to set tile in their shower pan. This isn't a good idea to use this product in a "wet area" as the material re-activates and thus spawns a gooey swamp of movement underneath. Needless to say, that had to get ripped out during demolition, wherein, found another problem, underneath.
On this remodel project in Londonderry, NH we were called to remove carpet and replace ceramic tile in kitchen after demo, removal and prep with cement board. The floors in foyer and hallway were squeeky, so we remedied them structurally sound before tiling. Layout of floor tile designed with diamond pattern to flow throughout house with full or half size cuts around perimeter.
Customer initially called because she had tile floor installed in kitchen of her Nashua home less than a year ago and already she was seeing problems with cracked tiles popping loose on her kitchen floor. When I arrived, I lifted a tile up bare-handed and revealed tile installed over wood by previous contractor.

We recently hired Matt to do the tile work on the refinishing project of our fireplace. He did a fantastic job covering up the old red brick with beautiful mosaic marble. He was a pleasure to work with and was easy to get ahold of, and answered any questions I had, no matter how ridiculous. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that we also had the grout on our tub surround removed and redone, and his assistant that day might have rushed and grouted it a bit sloppy, with spots throughout spreading onto the tub or the tile wall itself rather than in a nice clean grout line like we had before

Matt and his crew did a beautiful job tiling our master bathroom shower and floor. He was consistently polite and courteous throughout the job and always explained everything in detail before moving forward with the next phase of the work. The work was extremely neat and detailed and came out gorgeous. Definitely recommend for any tiling job!

Matt tackled a difficult repair of our tile shower floor and step. In the process discovered shoddy work by original contractor and did a great job repairing it. He provided great advice on tile selection and actually procured it for us. He was accommodating to our start times, worked late when necessary to meet our time frame. He completed the job on time and on budget. We will use him again. Thanks for a great job Matt and thanks for your USMC service to our great country!
