Born and raised in Colorado Springs. Dr. Davis is a board certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon specializing in both conservative and surgical treatment of foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Judd Davis is a Colorado native, born and raised in Colorado Springs. He attended Manitou Springs High School and went on to earn a B.A. in molecular biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998. Following that Dr. Davis earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine located in Chicago in 2002, graduating valedictorian.

A bunion (aka hallux abductovalgus in medical terminology) is a foot deformity in which a bony prominence develops at the base of the big toe. Contrary to popular belief it is not actually a growth of new bone. Instead it results from a shifting and malalignment of the first metatarsal bone just behind the great toe (aka hallux).
Unfortunately, diabetes is an epidemic in the United States, currently affecting over 30 million Americans! It is a leading cause of amputation, blindness, and kidney disease. With regards to the feet it can have disastrous consequences for two reasons. Firstly, having elevated blood glucose over long periods of time can cause irreversible nerve damage in the feet and sometimes hands.

I have been treated and both feet operated on by Dr. Davis over a 20 year period and could not have asked for a better, more caring doctor. I have found him to be very dedicated to finding the best solution. I think he was a excited that after the last surgery I was able to hike over 40 miles without pain! I would add that my surgeries were at two different locations but at both the nursing and anesthesia staff participating on the surgeries commented on what a good surgeon Dr. Davis is and that they enjoy being in the theater with him (and they sure would know!). Five stars.

Dr. Davis is a breath of fresh air compared to the podiatrist I visited before him. In contrast to the previous doctor who said there was nothing he could do for me, Dr. Davis listened with empathy and even made a custom shoe insert for me on our first visit. He recently performed some elective foot surgery for me during the Covid pandemic, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.
