Pregnancy is an incredibly special time in your life, and getting great maternity photos of yourself is important. Not only for you to remember, but for your kids to see as they grow up. I know pregnancy doesn't always feel glamorous and at times can be downright difficult, but booking a maternity session is not something you will regret.
Baby and toddler milestone sessions are probably the most fun thing that I photograph. Newborns are precious, but older babies are just exploding with personality. Getting to see little people grow up is just my favorite thing. Milestone sessions feature my usual clean, neutral color palette that is cohesive across all of my studio photography.
Newborn babies are the sweetest little things in the whole world. My newborn photography (like most of my studio work) features soft, muted colors and sets that don't distract from the main event. Please submit a message to via the contact form. We'll go over details and get everything set up, but we won't schedule until baby is born.
For family sessions, I try to focus on candid moments. We will take a few very posed photos of everyone looking at the camera, of course, but my favorite photos are the ones where your family is giggling and everyone is talking with each other and enjoying themselves. I really try to create a memory of the experience of taking the photos, along with the photos themselves.

Tara is so talented! We love our maternity photos and can't wait until our baby arrives and she can take pictures of her! I was kind of nervous about the process of taking maternity photos (is it going to be awkward to stand alone and hold my belly? will we have to hike forever? do I have to constantly smile?) but Tara made it fun, light, and easy on my swollen feet! I would highly, highly recommend her for all of your family photography needs!
