This home, with design inspiration from owner/interior designer, is an original adaptation of the homes in Blowing Rock, North Carolina she knew as a child. The log timber work and bark siding, along with the many details and other interior and exterior materials, help to give this home the character and style she desired.

Details, trim, and materials match the original finishes to recreate the unique character of the house. This older home needed an update. The owners wanted to open the house as much as possible to the beautiful golf course view.

The society was founded in 1978 and relocated to their new facility in 2012. The Board of Directors wanted their new building to reflect the GREEN building and energy trends so prevalent in today's construction practices and techniques.
