Dr. Belisle graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1982. He opened Kauai Optometric Center in 1985 and has taken care of the eye care needs of many Kauai residents since then. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Hawaii Optometric Association. Dr. Belisle is now retired, but you can still find him out and about town.
During a comprehensive eye exam, our optometrist will not only determine the prescription you need for glasses or contact lenses, but also check the health of your eyes and how your eyes work together as a team. A number of tests will be performed to perform a thorough examination of your eyes. At the end of the exam, our doctor will discuss the status of your vision and eye health.
If you have vision insurance, it may offset the cost of your exam, glasses, and/or contacts. We work with a wide range of vision insurance providers and will be happy to answer any of your insurance questions. If you have a medical condition that requires eye health evaluations such as diabetes or have an eye emergency that requires urgent attention, we can also use your medical insurance for your visit.
