Services
Hill Country Woodworks was founded in 1976, in the farmland outside Chapel Hill, NC. Housed in what was at one time a gas station, the company has maintained a high standard of quality using modern methods and traditional techniques. Hill Country has been through several sets of owners, each adding to the reputation it has earned.
Over the years we have worked with our customers to develop many different designs for dining room tables and chairs. As with all our custom designs, these can be made to any size and shape and many can accommodate a leaf for a special occasion. Many clients bring the measurements of their dining room and we are always happy to work with you to come up with a unique and personalized dining set.
Our bedroom pieces ranges in style from minimalist to elegant four-posters. We also offer myriad designs of nightstands, dressers, and wardrobes to create a cohesive and cozy feel to your bedroom. Hill Country beds are made to fit you. When designing your bed, we make sure that your mattress is at the height you want it - no leaping to get in a too-tall bed or struggling to get out of one that's too low.
From entertaining to relaxing to just being at home, Hill Country living room designs can meet all your needs. Elegant and contemporary, our furniture is comfortable, functional, and long lasting. All Hill Country sofas and chairs use loose cushions for easier maintenance. The cushions are available in all foam or down wrapped foam.
At Hill Country we believe that you do your best work in an office that is not only functional but beautiful as well. Only you know exactly how you want all the elements arranged with respect to fit, finish, purpose, and style. We have created many office solutions ranging from single desks to complete wall-to-wall installations, as well as a range of conference tables.

Six years ago Hill Country built a very special table for me that I use as a desk. It has a 4 x 6 foot solid top of 2 inch cherry lumber and a wide drawer on excellent heavy duty drawer rollers for office supplies. They really listened and what they made is exactly what was in my mind. I love it and use it daily. The attention to detail and quality is wonderful. It's what I wanted and knew I could never get. We forget how "a thing of beauty is a joy forever". Six years later it still brings me joy every day.

We approached Mark at Hill Country Woodworks to design a bed and side tables for us out of natural wood, leaving the rough edge as a border for the headboard and side tables. We could not be more pleased with the results!! They listened to our desires and ideas and were wonderful with helping us to understand the intricacies of the project and allowed us to choose the planks of the tree which would be seen on the head and foot boards. We are so excited with the end results!! The finish is as smooth as silk. Thank you Mark and Will for all you did to make our bed so beautiful!!

My brother recently moved to the Triangle from the Chicago area and needed furniture for his new house. He especially wanted the living room area to look striking and his existing furniture just didn't work. I suggested that the check out Hill Country Woodworks and consider some custom pieces. My wife and I had bought pieces from them some 30 years ago that we still enjoy.
My brother had already looked at the usual places -- along Glenwood Ave in Raleigh and at outlets like Rooms to Go. Some stuff looked nice but didn't seem very well made. Good quality pieces made from solid woods were notably
