Living Arts Tattoo is full service Tattoo Studio located in the heart of the Historic New Hope, Pennsylvania. We are about 50 minutes from CC Philadelphia and an hour from NYC. Our Staff includes award winning artists Brian Ulrich, Marilyn Charles, Ryan Mahoney, Nick Strong and Hunter Graves. We offer same day appointments on most days.

Services
Tattoo Aftercare isn't rocket science, but some care and precautions should be taken to ensure the final quality and healthy healing of your tattoo. We recommend the following procedures to care for your new tattoo. Apply a thin application of Bacitracin or Neosporin ointment (the clear kind!) Always apply ointment with clean, freshly washed hands.

I got a tattoo here this week by Marilyn and my experience was wonderful! Everyone is the shop is beyond nice and it was a great environment. She is such a talented artist and designed a tattoo that was exactly what I wanted, very clear communication and extremely friendly, and let me know every step of the process and let me make any changes if I wanted to. I would definitely recommend this shop and I will be returning in the future!

I got my first tattoos about a week ago and went to Living Arts Tattoo as it was highly recommended by two coworkers. I had mine done by Ryan who was very professional and friendly. He listens very well and eased any nervousness I had. The entire staff was super nice as well. If I decide to get more ink, definitely going back there

My mom and I decided to get matching tattoos for my 18th birthday, and this place was great. It was a first tattoo for us both and the artist could not have been any more helpful because he was just so great. Our artist was Ryan and he knew exactly how to handle a very nervous first-time tattooed person like myself. There was a great vibe and we were able to make our vision come to life for a sweet moment for my mother and I both. Though I live far, if I ever make it back out in NJ, I will totally be coming here for further tattoos.

I didn't have to break the bank either which was nice. I'm a very happy customer and I've already got another appointment booked!!

I've had all three of my bigger tattoos done here, all specifically by Nick. He's an amazingly talented artist, and knows exactly when to give you a break. Here's the last tattoo I got from him- which I am over the moon about. He works with you to have a design that is both what you want and what he is able to execute flawlessly. 100% recommend!!!!!

I got my tattoo done by Marilyn. She did my brothers first tattoo a week ago and did my matching one yesterday. My wife got a spontaneous tattoo a few weeks ago as well by Marilyn, while she was in New Hope with family. I had a very bad experience with my first tattoo artist and it took me six years to consider getting a new one because I was so devastated. Marilyn made me feel comfortable. She is extremely pleasant and very professional. I’m pretty sure we switched around my stencil six times until I was happy with the location. I will never consider going to another artist besides Marilyn,

Brian was referred to me by my brother. He had done an amazing piece (approx 40hrs) on my brother’s entire back and at first glance it was “cool.” It was a genie and 2 chicks. Sounds pretty basic right? It’s maybe 10 years later and I still can find details I never saw before. I have 12-15 others pieces and a half sleeve so I have seen my share of artists and shops. The idea of a shop in New Hope seemed so overpriced and a butterfly on the back kind of place. I was usually at a convention or the diamond in the hood client lol. Great tattoo shop in New Hope! This place has been recommended a few times from people that I know. Went in for a quick cover up. Friendly staff walked through my request on measuring and understanding of how it would appear. Worked out a solution I was happy with. Very clean and professional. Always checked on me during the process. Was done in an hour for a modest cover up. Happy with the results! Will go back for more work on new and previous art. Prices are comparable to the level of work.

Josh did such a fantastic job on my tattoo. I wanted something very simple and brought in some idea photos. He took my ideas, listened to what I wanted, and came up with an original drawing that was exactly… what I wanted. He took his time to make sure I was happy with the design, the colors, sizing, and placement. I couldn’t be happier with the result! Thank you, Josh. I will definitely be back!

So glad I stopped in today, the 5 stars reviews are spot on. Ryan was friendly, helpful & a great tattoo artist. I needed help with my font & placement & he was eager to please. He is easy to talk to & such a nice guy. Very knowledgeable + a good listener. I even decided to get a previous tattoo finished. I showed him what it needed & he went right to work. He is efficient, does an excellent job of communicating & makes sure you are comfortable.

I got my very first tattoo here and genuinely enjoyed the experience. The tattoo is still in great shape years later. However, when attempting to get my second tattoo a year later one of the employees was somewhat rude to me for what I wanted and the fact he was busy at the time despite me just asking questions and being patient. I ended up leaving and going to a new tattoo place which I still loyally go to. The work is great and the person who did it was wonderful but I cannot speak for other employees and the prices are somewhat high. To each their own here, I know many who love this place regardless

Advertises as "award winning custom ink", which is what I wanted. I went in with different elements that I wanted incorporated and some examples of the style I liked. The guy started browsing the internet, and said he'd draft something. An hour later he showed us what he printed off (no sketching involved) where he had literally copied the tattoos I had shown him into a really bad composition with the quote I wanted just thrown across the top with typewriter font. It was really, really, bad. Anyone could have thrown it together in 5 minutes if they knew how to work photoshop. When

1. I'm visiting from California so my sister stopped in and explained what herself, our mom, and I wanted to have done earlier this week. The staff was wonderful about accommodating my not extremely flexible schedule and after getting an idea of what we wanted they were totally cool with sketching our ideas up when we came in.
2. This was my moms first tattoo, she was nervous and jumpy and had millions of questions. Not only was Ryan helpful, but he was calming and full of knowledge

I've been getting tattooed for almost as long as I've been alive, I'm about 70% covered now, and Living Arts is the only shop I go to for my work. The owner, Brian, is extremely knowledgeable and very talented, though any of the resident artists will serve you well. Moreover, the tattooers aren't hesitant to shut down an idea that simply will not translate well onto the skin; making a buck off of the inexperienced is not a priority here. I worked up another tattoo after my father passed. Personally spent 100+ hours finding fonts, doing preliminary designs, and then lots and lots of fixing and tweaking. Eventually I had it perfect and went down to see Steve again. Set up an appointment got some gorgeous work done. It came out exactly how I wanted and is simply perfect.
A variation of a Goethe quote "Nothing is more important than this day" with

Steve Farley at Living Arts Tattoo does INCREDIBLE work. Very precise and every intricate detail is flawless. His work seems to come alive on your skin with all the color and perfection. This is my 19 year old son's 1st tattoo and believe me I did alot of research within the Ti-state area and my work was not in vane. I picked the BEST. PS. Very clean and all needles are prepackaged.
