Transmission is by far, the most complicated mechanical component in today's automobile. Automatic transmissions contain mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and computer controls, all working together in perfect harmony which goes virtually unnoticed until there is a problem.
This article will help you understand the concepts behind what goes on inside these technological marvels and what goes into repairing them when they fail. For today's car owner, auto repair is more complicated than ever. Vehicles keep getting more complex, while technology and diagnostic tools constantly change as well.

Took my car on at opening time Thursday last week to have exhaust redone. He was busy, that's fine I understand. But they told me I could bring it in the next day (Friday) because they were free. Again I got up there at opening time. My car sat there all day and had nothing done to it. I checked in around 3pm to see how it was going. They hadn't even started on it. He assured me it was next in line and would be done that day. It wasn't. They called right before closing time and said he couldn't get to it. By the time I got up there to pick it up he had already left for the day. His other employees

I've taken 3 Crown Vics and a Chrysler 200 in for exhaust work, and it always turns out nicely. Prices are unmatched by any shop closer to home, so the drive up to Springfield is worth it. Aside from that, I also had an intake manifold leak diagnosed, suspension work, and brake work done a while back.
These guys are good at what they do, they're nice people, and MOST importantly: They're honest and transparent. They show me what the problem is. They will hand you your busted shocks, your soaked spark plugs, and point at the coolant leak that fouled out your plugs.
