Since we made the difficult decision to close permanently, we have been astounded and overwhelmed by the outpouring of emotion, support and love by our beloved patrons. The term "family business" is too simple a descriptor for Vesuvio. The Pugliese family will always be grateful for the staff who became our Vesuvio family: seeing each other more than our nuclear families while we fed our guests' families.
Thank you for your years (and often decades) of service. We miss seeing your faces. Likewise, the Pugliese family also misses our extended family: our loyal guests and delivery clients. Spending time with you fed our souls, while we fed your families. Thank you Toronto. Even though the ovens are cold, we're sending you warm virtual hugs and pizzas!

Vesuvios is an Italian restaurant on Dundas, near the Junction in Toronto. We went on a Sunday night to celebrate mother's Day. The service was excellent. Fast and attentive to our party of 10. I ordered a Valpolicella which was also excellent. The only appetizer the table ordered was calamari fritti. They were pale, lightly breaded and tender. The sauce was very good. I like the calamari with a bit more crunch on the outside, and they did not have thay. No primi but others enjoyed the pasta. I ordered the chicken marsala. Not impressed. The sauce was good, but a little

One of the best Italian places I've ever been to in the Junction and in Toronto. Their carbonara is amazing, and very filling. Its rich in flavour. I have tried other places, and only one other place has a good carbonara. They sometimes have pizza specials, and when this does happen, its recommended you try it. A must visit for anyone living in Toronto, and especially for those who enjoy Italian cuisine. The servers are also very courteous and attentive.

Went here for some food on a Friday evening with my girlfriend and it was not bad. The restaurant looked decent from the outside and we were in the area walking and wanted some Pasta. We ordered their penne alla vodka and their calamari fritti. I liked the pasta. The sauce was nice and the prosciutto in the pasta was nice tasting. The calamari however did not taste good. It was quite hard to bite into and it just didn't have much flavour. I would recommend this place for the good service and good pasta but I would skip over their calamari for sure. Their bread was also good.

Pizzas are top notch, some of the best in Toronto. Our pasta was good but not great. The taste is good but some of the strands were stuck together making some of it undercooked while the rest is al dente. There was also an issue with fruit flies the day we went. Our server came up with a great solution to cover our wine with coasters however that took away from the experience.

Great place with great prices. I love that you can have a customizable pizza and still a reasonable price! The only thing I would like them to improve is the crust, it is too dry and a bit hard to cut. The service was above average. The ambience is nice too but since this is family friendly place, it is pretty noisy as well. I liked it though, you could feel people were having an awesome time.

I ordered take out food, two portions of lasagna (one vegetarian and one meat) and a small cheese pizza. I have wanted to try out this place for a long time and when I finally did, it actually did not surprise me at all. I expected low quality of ingredient and really superficial preparation and that is what I found. Unfortunately it is really nothing special, I do not see any reason why I should prefer their pizza to any pizza chain like pizza pizza. I respect them being on business for many years and I wish them the best but unfortunately I will not be back.
