The Blue Ridge Mountains were formed in three major uplift phases, the first about a billion years ago and the final one about 300 million years ago. This area has a rich history of gold mining, and a large numbers of Cherokee Indians who were eventually forced west along what became know as the Cherokee Trail of Tears.
Lake Blue Ridge is the perfect place for water sport and play. It is a pristine clear lake surrounded by mountains. There is a marina on the lake which offers pontoon boat rentals, a store, boat ramps and boat slips. The Toccoa is stocked at various points and provides some of the best trout fishing in North Georgia.

My husband and I recently retired and came up for a well deserved rest. The cabin was well stocked with all basics and the view was amazing! We loved the large back deck with views of several mountain ridges. You can spend days up here at Eagles View cabin and not see or hear another person. It’s a great place to just relax and enjoy nature - highly recommended!

Cabin was filthy upon arrival from guests who left hours earlier. Had to wait for it to be cleaned which was done marginally. Hot tub didn't work either. This company is full of excuses, said all cabins are thoroughly cleaned and left vacant at least a day to prevent COVID but that is not true at all. Said they can't get repair workers because of the COVID but they sure can take your money. Kept my cleaning deposit had to get it back from credit card company. And they keep spamming me with emails full of gibberish. Look elsewhere.
