Region 8 Mental Health Service
At Region 8, we are here to assist each individual to find vitality, health and well being. Through a partnership with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Region 8's Mobile Crisis Response Team provides community-based behavioral health crisis services 24 hours a day to individuals located in Copiah, Lincoln, Madison, Rankin and Simpson Counties.

Services
Region 8 Mental Health Services will provide the highest level of mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, alcohol and drug services, in the least restrictive environment possible within the limits of current knowledge.

Our vision is to meet the unique behavioral healthcare needs of each individual in our community as expressed through an infinite effort of a team of professionals, with strength beyond the presence of any one person.Our success is measured by the accomplishments and comfort in the lives of those we serve.
Candidates must possess a Board License as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi. Duties will include crisis assessment and intervention and medication management assisting in medical evaluation's, provide medication education and monitoring of physical problems for consumers and any other medical services as directed by a licensed Physician.
Community Support Services provide individual and family assistance, as needed, by a professional community support specialist who specializes in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The community support specialist advises individuals and their families of available services and programs and assists with all aspects of the application and admission process when needed.
The full spectrum of Region 8 services is open to all residents of Copiah, Lincoln, Madison, Rankin, and Simpson Counties. Crisis intervention is available through face-to-face and/or telephone contact. Services are provided anywhere necessary in the community to assist consumers in the process of effectively coping with crisis situations.
According to the U.S. Surgeon General, about 20% of American children suffer from a diagnosable mental illness during a given year. From anxiety disorders, depression, and disruptive behavior disorders to affective (mood) disorders and eating disorders, Region 8 offers a wide range of outpatient evaluation, diagnostic and counseling services for children and youth.
