Originally from Spencer, IA, Dr. Joseph Geelan has been providing chiropractic care in Marion, IA since 1976. Upon graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Dr. Geelan established the Geelan Chiropractic Center as a solo practitioner where he mainly practices the Gonstead technique.
I have been using chiropractic care since I was 13 years old. And I truly believe Dr. Geelan is the best Chiropractor I have been lucky enough to be treated by. For 11 years I have experianced pain and inability to function. I hurt my back and had to have my neck fused. After 8 years I had to apply for disability. I wasn't ready but could no longer work. I tried but had to relent.
After all this time I found dr. Geelan through a friend.
Its been two weeks but already I'm about
50% better than I've been in years.
We still have work to do but for the first time since all this started I have hope if a better life . Thank God I found him !

Doctor Geelan is the absolute best chiro I’ve ever been to. I went to him years ago, and when I moved back to town, I was excited to have him as my chiro again. I had horrible neck pain when I walked in today. (I occasionally get wry neck.) It’s about two hours later and I feel almost completely better. I would recommend him to anyone! If you’re looking for a new chiro, I can tell you now, he’s the best chiro you’re going to find.

I have been seeing Doc G for 20 years. He is an absolute miracle worker. He not only fixes every pain that I have but also explains why I am having it and how to keep from having it. He has stayed late for me as well as let me in early because I was such a wreck. This man truly cares about his clients. I have had things that a medical doctor couldn't fix that he did. I can't thank him enough for his care over the years and I will continue to go here for as long as I'm in Iowa.

This guy is obviously doing something right! I started going to him in 1981. I'm no spring chicken, and I was twentyish then. I cannot believe how young he looks! This guy simply doesn't age! That should tell you all something.
He obviously knows what he's doing and applies his health methods to his own life. I'll admit I'm awed.

I've been visiting Dr. Geelan off and on for years. Truly is a friendly, knowledgeable, effective pain reliever. Takes the pain away and is a great guy to talk to -- explains what's going on and what he's going to do to correct it. Can't say enough good things about the results. If you haven't tried chiropractic, you should try Dr. Geelan.

If you’re like me, you’re nervous about someone working on your spine especially when you’re in debilitating pain. As a last resort, I went to Dr. Geelan. I had exhausted all treatments from another chiropractor. My friends insisted Dr. Geelan was different. They were so right. I couldn’t walk across the room without grabbing for a chair on my first visit. Within a couple of months, I was pain free. I’m fully recovered and grateful every day to Dr. Geelan.

I've had mild back pain for about 6 months but then over the past weekend I injured it to the point that I couldn't even move without excruciating pain. I went to my local urgent Care and they said I have a herniated disc, they gave me some mild pain medication and some stretches to try to help. I was given a recommendation to see a chiropractor if it doesn't get better, after 2 days the pain didn't go away at all so I said screw it I'm going to a chiropractor. Honestly I just picked Dr Geelan because he was close to my house and he had the most reviews on Facebook, but

Dr. Geelan is a very experienced, knowledgeable, and effective chiropractor. When I first went to see him I had used every other approach to deal with my shoulder pain - physical therapy, eStim, etc. I had MRI's done and a nerve conduction test. Turns out my problems stemmed from my neck being out of alignment. The x-rays clearly showed I had a curve in my upper spine. After working with Dr. Geelan for several months my condition improved and the curve in my spine decreased. Now 10 years later I still see him once or twice a month to help keep me pain free.
