Prefer Paving & Ready-Mix was started in 1994 by Brian & Debbie Mold. Brian had over 17 years of experience in the blacktopping/paving industry. He started in his backyard with a small paver and dump truck. With the help of his two children Jamie and Johnny, Prefer Paving & Ready-Mix Inc. has grown leaps and bounds in the paving/asphalt and concrete industry.

These folks did an excellent job. The old apron and sidewalk was removed in about an hour. The form crew came in and set the forms in about an hour. The next day four (4) gentlemen came and by 3:30 pm they were finished.Three guys came the next day and pulled the forms, cut the expansion grooves and were done in 1 1/2 hours. One gentlemen even put the grass back in the form cut-outs. Would, and have recommended Prefer to others.

I cannot tell you how awful this company is. We hired Prefer because we knew the owners Father (who previously ran/owned the company), and Grandfather, who would be so ashamed of how their work is being done. The staff who did the cement work did a great job, so we were excited about the pavement. The person that did our bid was to have the electrical wire dug deeper before laying the pavement because our old driveway cracked there. That never happened. The driveway was put in and it was horrible. 2-3" on one side and less than .5" on most of the other. It took me well over a month to get "Johnny

After 8 months, weeds breaking through new driveway on edges and in the middle. I was told to use roundup to control the grass that was popping through.
Update: Husband did weedwhack the weeds down before company contacted us. Their response was that this happens. We hope they will stop and check out this not quite even 8 month old driveway.
