Santa Barbara, a popular tourist destination in California, is often referred to as the The American Riviera because of its moderate Mediterranean climate. It's located on the California coast in the central part of the state and has southern-facing beaches. The city sits at the edge of the Pacific Ocean and is bordered to the north by the Santa Ynez mountains creating a dramatic coastline bordered by a beautiful mountain range.
If your reservation is for Site 1-8 or 18-22, please take the first driveway entrance to the park marked Restricted. All other sites, please use the second driveway entrance marked Main Entrance. Individual site assignments are not guaranteed. We are a small park and sometimes need to rearrange reservations in order to accommodate folks as best we can.

This campground was extremely nice. It was pretty small, but it had everything needed. The bathrooms were in top shape and I loved the set up of them. Also the best part about the bathrooms is their water was HOT! The staff was super friendly. It was only about a 5 minute drive to the beach parking which we opted to drive, and close to downtown Santa Barbara. It was a quiet, lovely camp spot. I definitely recommend this park.

Be warned that this campsite is merely a parking lot crammed in between a noisy freeway and some sketchy looking apartments. When we asked for a refund from a reservation that we had only made 2 hours prior to trying to cancel we were met by a very large attitude from the owner or manager there. They said they would refund me if they were able to rent it out again even though half the park was empty. At that point I was happy to lose my $70.00 and move on up the road to an amazing location we found

Decent experience, but a few downsides is why I couldn't give 5 stars.
Location is right off the 101, which means it's very noisy and also not easy to access southbound 101. Spots are tight and we had a greedy neighbor who's long slideouts and decorations came a few feet into our spot, making it even more cramped.
Close to a lot of good food, the beach isn't too far, campground and facilities are clean, WiFi was better than most places.

Love this place! Every visit my boyfriend and I have made here has always been pleasant. Very quiet, private, and serene.
The people who manage the office are always so kind and respectful, they also make you feel right at home. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you are looking for affordable, respectful, and professional service.

Pros: Owner managers husband & wife team are eager to make customers happy (the husband is a bit quiet but actually a really nice guy). Bathrooms and showers are kept very clean with no waiting / no lines. Full RV hookups. 220V gave full 30A charge - great for Tesla camping (bring your mobile charge cable).
Cons: Wi-Fi signal is sketchy. My cell data signal (T-Mobile) was weak, maybe due to freeway noise barrier wall. So watching videos was choppy. Bathroom floor covering painful to stand on in bare feet.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Santa Barbara Sunrise RV Park and it was great. The people who run the place were friendly and even called the day before to explain issues with our spot and offered up to other spots in exchange. Upon arrival the person in duty showed me two spots we could use and she made her recommendations. We took spot 11 which borders on a neighborhood street but hey it works.
Most of the RV Spots that we saw you had to back into, it's not easy especially if you are new to hauling a Camper in the back of your truck (like me).
Yes the RV Park is next to the 101

Park was very clean and well maintained. Sites are very close to one another. Not many sites for big rigs. Our spot was on the end and hookups were on the wrong side. But thankfully we were able to make it work. It's right next to the sound barrier for the freeway also. Altho noise wasn't too bad. Staff are very nice and helpful. Beach / pier was very close.

Stayed here for Presidents Day weekend, seeking an escape not to far away from home but in the comfort of our rig.
Driving in, it would be helpful to know in advance which driveway to use depending on your site number. Some of the sites are easier to navigate from the first driveway off the freeway, even though the second driveway is identified as the main entrance.
The manager onsite, Terry, was extremely helpful in helping us get our rig situated. Sites are level. We didn't have to use any leveling blocks. Sites are a tad squishy. We have a small picnic table outside our rig. Full

Great little RV park in town. First spot #30 we got on the first day was so tight we just parked our cars around the neighborhood to give us extra room to hang out outside. It was tricky trying to hitch up while other cars were driving through. We still made it work and had a great time.
The next morning we moved over to #1 and man did we get lucky! This one was right in front of the office but great because it was spacious and we were only next to one other rig. The people were so nice there and their restrooms and laundry rooms were spotless. Piping hot water so be careful.
Definitely noisy

I came up to the sunrise rv park after calling them many times for advice and general info. They were always gracious and helpful. I came with my grand kids 3 of them and we had a super time. The park is safe clean and the owners are genuinely nice caring people.
The park is located near the freeway so there is a bit of noise through the night if you a super light sleeper it may be an issue but my kids and I didn't have any issue.
I recommend it for a much need get away. Super close to the beach too.

How could anyone give this place less than FIVE stars?? Yes, it's near the freeway, but it's immaculate, bathrooms are close, showers are HOT, and management is very nice, albeit busy. They are helpful, understanding, and pets are not only allowed, well-behaved ones are appreciated. Location, as they say, is everything. They're minutes from Santa Barbara's Old Town and beaches. I sure hope to come back, someday!

I had a short stay here, last week. The owners/ managers we extremely accommodating, communicative, and helpful! It's close to the freeway but I slept fine. I did not get a chance to explore the local area as I was working - but the park provided everything I needed. I'm grateful for the pleasant experience. I would recommend, and hope to return here. Thanks Sunrise RV!

We have been staying at Sunrise RV park for a couple of weeks. I can not tell you how nice and responsive Debbie and Terry have been. Their level of customer service is amazing!
The park is spic and span clean. The sites, the driveway, the laundry room and the bathrooms are consistently taken care of.
The office is always available to answer questions or to get quarters for the laundry room (I seem to do that a lot).
Our dogs are comfortable here and are very welcomed.
The park is centrally located to all that there is to do in Santa Barbara; the Zoo, beach, Funk Zone, downtown, etc.

Ok. Let me start by saying that when we made first contact with the park, there was so much energy on the other end that we knew we would enjoy our stay. The park is small but it has clean bathrooms and laundry facilities. Each day, someone comes in to professionally clean them. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and personally directed to our spot. They have water and electricity hookups. The best part is...they have cable and internet. Internet that actually works...fast! We even watched Netflix with no interruptions.
