Services
For a quarter-century, the company dominated the island market, operating out of Long Beach and San Pedro, taking over from the old SS Catalina steamer. By the early 1970s, passengers were riding the smaller, faster 700-passenger Catalina Cruises ferries.

Catalina Classic Cruises, continues that legacy, chartering the big red and white ships to take passengers on the 26-mile run, navigate the inland waters for Harbor Cruises and special events, or operating as tenders in Avalon Bay.On a year round basis, we take all ages of kids to camps all along the coast of Catalina Island.
Santa Catalina Island, often called Catalina Island, or just Catalina, is a rocky island off the coast of the U.S. state of California. The island is 22 miles (35 km) long and eight miles (13 km) across at its greatest width. The island is located about 22 miles (35 km) south-southwest of Los Angeles, California.
Our company's flagship, the Catalina King has been crossing the San Pedro Channel since her launch in Decmber, 1973. She is a familiar and beloved sight to many of the Island's residents. She is 135 feet long, 34 feet wide, and can hold up to 700 passengers. The "Go To" boat for large cruising events in Long Beach and Avalon.
Catalina Classic Cruises is always looking for highly motivated and qualified individuals who are passionate about the life aquatic. We provide a unique, upbeat and friendly work environment that is multifaceted in work experience. We consider ourselves unique in Long Beach's cruise industry, because our employees really matter and are encouraged to take pride and enjoyment in everything they do.

Fun boat ride, but the parking women needs to be fired! I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life! Talking down to the customers. I'll never come back.

It was a good trip. There really isn’t anything wrong with this place. The boat trip was fairly smooth (both ways). The only bummer part about the trip were the food prices! they were outrages! which is understandable, but still. So, i’d recommend taking your own snacks.

The ride to the island was longer than I expected but the company got us there safely albeit I got sunburnt from being on the top side of the boat. Don’t forget sunscreen and a bag in case you get seasick!

Great service to Catalina for me and my Cub Scout troop. They were very professional and courteous and didn't even bat an eye as multiple Scouts "chummed" the water during the 2 hour trip.
The captain even tried to minimize the rocking to help the boys have a more pleasant experience.

I was a disappointed in the Halloween party cruise. It felt like a money grab. At the price point, I expected an experience with at least some decorations. It was just the plain boat with DJ equipment. The sinks were also expensive and the WAIT for the drinks was unbearably long. Again, at the price point, I expected better. I think they were understaffed for the event.
Finally, they seemed to have trouble getting the boat engine started, so our cast off was delayed.
On the positive side, the DJs were good. I also enjoyed seeing the Queen Mary and Long Beach from the harbor.
