These guys are awesome. I'm a hobby woodworker and my wife asked me to build a dining room table. When I got to the assembly part I realized I didn't have the precision tools to join the four edge pieces. A friend told me about CW so I called them on Tuesday and they had it finished by Friday.
As you can see, they are true craftsmen and fun people to work with.

Last summer I decided to build a rough cut, farm-style dining room table. I had never done this big of woodworking project before but it turned out great thanks in large part to the help I got from Creative Woodworking. They joined, glued and planed the table and bench and saved me a lot of time and hassle.

Wonderful craftsmanship under quick timing! I had a small project to get a base cut for a cloche, and it came out SO beautiful! Watching Bob work he made it look so easy! It was fun to be able to follow around as he worked as well, and I couldn't be happier with the final product. I'd definitely return with any other woodworking projects in the future!

This is an adult playground for people who love wood working. They have German engineered machines that cost $100k and are precise within the width of a hair. Best of all, you get to walk around with them and cut and glue and finish your entire product. I have been working with a guy named Bob and he's super cool. I cut down a black walnut on my property and he's helping me make a dinner and coffee table. My best advice is to come here and just start ur project. Everyone here is very friendly and awesome. They don't make you feel dumb and walk you through everything step by step.

I came in here desperate for some specialty wood pieces to solve a problem on a client's job (I'm a contractor). Although these guys didn't have the specific wood type I needed, they generously spent 10 minutes talking through my problem with me and came up with a solution that worked perfectly. The solution did not involve buying anything from them -- they were just being genuine and helpful. Thank you so much. Places like this are what make Portland great.

While renovating a kitchen we had Creative Woodworking make door and window trim made to match the existing trim in the house. We have done this before for another home from a different shop and thought we knew what to expect. Creative far surpassed what we had received in the past. The quality of the wood and the quality detail and of the surface was so well done it left less sanding and prep for us. Thank you Creative.

A great resource for the woodworker! They have all the large processing machines you might not have in your shop and will mill your project to your specifications. A popular spot for planing down large slabs of rough wood. Bring as much material as you can to get it done all at once. They charge by the hour at around $60 per hour currently.
Make an appointment by calling the office, pull up to the loading door, unload onto a cart, park your rig (they have a small lot to the west), and enter the office to let them know you have arrived unless they know you and someone comes over to help you. Tell

This last time They rushed My project and wound up creating more work for me to repair the doors and face frames that they sent through the wide belt. my custom mahogany project. I think they need to spend a little more time training their operators!! nice people, Nice shop. Pay a little more attention to detail.

I took 175 board feet - a pile ten feet long, a foot wide and about 18 inches high - of rough-sawn walnut to Creative Woodworking to have planed and surfaced. They have the heavy duty machines to do it quickly.
Their employees run the machines. You can drop the whole project off or you can work with them shuttling the wood between one end of the machine and the other. They use old sturdy wheeled medical gurneys to do that - smart! If you are going to be in the shop, bring safety glasses and hearing protection, plus some work gloves. I worked with them to make decisions for each board to get the

I bought some paduak for an end table I wanted to make. After gluing the pieces and biscuit jointed them together in my unheated garage. Needless to say, it came out terrible, and not wanting to waste wood I spent $100, I went to Creative Woodworking NW.
The owner, Mike, was super friendly. He told me what I did wrong and said he could build the end table according to my specifications. I asked him if I could watch him on a Saturday, and he said yes! As a novice woodworker, it was incredible to meet someone with tons of knowledge and experience who is willing to share his knowledge. I spent several

Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. A great selection of large machinery makes whatever woodworking task you have in mind a breeze. Staff is conscious of the fee you are paying per hour and work quickly and efficiently. I love this place. My only complaint is that I can't take the belt sander home with me...
