The Ozarks Regional YMCA was established in Springfield in 1888, and our association is made up of eight family centers, including two Springfield locations, Ward Downtown YMCA and Pat Jones YMCA, Ozark Mountain Family YMCA in Hollister, Monett Area YMCA, Cassville YMCA, Dallas County Area YMCA in Buffalo, Lebanon Family YMCA, YMCA Camp Wakonda and the School Age Services branch.

The Y is for everyone. Our programs, services and initiatives enable kids to realize their potential, prepare teens for college, offer ways for families to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, prepare people for employment, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster a nationwide service ethic.
Services
The Ozarks Regional YMCA is a cause-driven organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. We help make A Better Us by being a leader in our community for youth sports, water safety, child care, senior programs and more. The Y relies on the generosity of donors to continue serving the increasing needs in our community.
You'll find talented, committed people of all ages, backgrounds and life experiences working for the Ozarks Regional YMCA. The Y is a place where values-based behavior is the norm and you can expect to be treated with care, respect, honesty and responsibility. Plus, we offer terrific benefits to help you grow stronger in spirit, mind and body, even as you're helping others.
All kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That's why our Y nurtures the potential of thousands of local children and teens by cultivating the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement.

The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they'll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it's building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship or being part of a team, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.
The Y childcare programs offer a variety of options for families. Program include Before and/after school care, Summer Day Camp, Before and/or after EXPLORE!. Studies show participation in these programs help boost school attendance, academic performance and reduce gaps in academic achievement. All Y programs are designed to serve families who need quality child care throughout the year.
Besides being great exercise and a challenging sport, swimming is a life skill. The Y offers swim lessons of all kinds for all ages-family swim, competitive swim teams, and many types of adaptive-swim programs for kids and adults with special needs. We want everybody to be safe while they enjoy the pleasures of being around and in the water.

A very large a spacious building. Membership is reasonably priced. The only real negative is there is no pool in this YMCA.

I went their through k-2 I had a lot of fun with the activities.I was able to play with the big kids most of the time. But the best experience I had was when we went the the roller rink every Friday that’s where I discover my love for skating. So I highly recommend you take your children there over the summer.

Not taking covid seriously. Not seeing equipment being wiped regularly and people workout without masks. Gonna have to cancel my membership. It was at the Springfield Ward downtown YMCA

You simply can not have a bad day when you start it at the Ward branch YMCA. The team of people there as well as the members make you feel like part of a big family.

I pay for a YMCA membership to be able to use all YMCAs, that’s why we pay so much. But this location still won’t let you use all the amenities without paying even more!!! How is this even allowed, seems to violate Y policies. Shun this location for their greed and poor service to not explain this fact until After we join...

It's a fun gym. I haven't done any of the classes, just lift and cardio. The gyms I've been to in the past are overly busy after the first of the year but that hasn't been the case, at least not at 6 pm. Lol sort of has a Rocky feel to it. Hardest part is parking but I still always find a spot.

Asked about details for membership and staff could not answer my questions. They should really try to simplify sign up for membership. Not prorate your account or charge you twice. Plus their weight room is a little dated.
