Dr. Paul's By The Sea is a Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Facility in St. Augustine, Florida. At Dr. Paul's we offer clients a chance to successfully recover from debilitating psychological issues. We are a licensed treatment program that focuses on helping individuals develop coping skills and learn to live with their diagnosis.
Our program provides each client with recovery treatment that will address their specific issues and allow them to grow into a more stable individual that is capable of managing their long-term recovery. Services
Military veterans and service members are more likely to develop mental health disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, or traumatic brain injury (TBI) than the average civilian. They also have a higher risk of falling into an addiction due to a mental disorder. A struggle with substance abuse or mental illness can increase the risk of suicide among veterans.
Also known as the CCN, the VA Community Care Network is the link between the VA and community care providers. Through CCN, veterans can be provided with quality health care and services. The Community Care Network uses the standard requirements and guidelines to administer, pay for, and manage community providers' services and networks.
Military sexual trauma (MST) is a significant problem within the military. Whether they are active military members or veterans, both men and women have reported being sexually abused or harassed. At Dr. Paul's By The Sea, we provide MST treatment services for those who have suffered from this type of abuse.
Chronic pain is an affliction that affects millions of people. Whether it was caused by injury, surgery, or mental illness, chronic pain will often cause increased hardship in all aspects of life. While there are various strategies implemented to try and treat or manage chronic pain, there is no straightforward cure.
Dr. Paul By the Sea Mental Health Treatment Center is proud to accept TRICARE Insurance for Veterans. We provide anything from medical detox, outpatient programs, inpatient rehab, and mental health services. This facility is terrible. I went back in March for alcoholism. However, the staff are never on the same page. Completed my program, was offered an iop program, the facility never completed the agreement to hold my meetings and sessions via zoom. Called the owner Chris Spencer, his fix was to quit my job and go 45 min to the meetings, one at 10 am and the other at 2 pm for 9 hours a week. This is impossible for someone who lives in another town. The agreement for iop was i would be able to complete my program through zoom. While i was there they had 4 relapses in the facility. I have been to many treatment centers in the area and Dr Paul’s is above the rest. The moral integrity of the facility is what kept me here. No scams, no brokering (which many places do) just straight forward recovery. If you want to change your life for the better, Dr Paul’s is the place to do it at.

I stay in the sober living facility at Spencer's Recovery Center in. Pete Beach Florida. I came here after 30-day recovery. In St Pete Beach Recovery Center in St Augustine Florida. Both experiences have been a wonderful experience for . It has taught me a lot about myself and because of the sober living that I'm here now , it has continued my sobriety at approximately six months sober. Living in the sober living facility it has allowed me to continue my sobriety with a support and help of does S R C team. I wouldn't normally come and write a review like this but I felt compelled to. My son stayed there for a little over 90 days at the facility in St. Augustine. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the staff here especially Maxine. She kept me in the loop of his progress working through his past trauma week after week and always was there to take my call. We had some ups and downs with him for the first month or month and a half. The staff was really patient with my son and steadily pushed him along. This is one of the few treatment centers who accepts couples, which was imperative to my husband and mines treatment. We went in August of 2019 and have been sober ever since. They have a truly knowledgeable and caring staff for dual diagnosis programs which allow you to get to the heart of your issues not just substance abuse. I would recommend this facility to anyone dealing with any sort of chemical dependency.

This treatment center is genuine and authentic as many of the counselors and residential staff members are they themselves in recovery. It has been a bumpy ride but they have addressed mental health issues, as well as, stood by the promises they made on the day of our family's intervention. It speaks volumes that the staff has gone above and beyond in supporting us through this journey.
Any treatment center or facility will have things that can be refined. However, when you find one that actually applies the principles of the program in their approaches, hands that reach back to grab another.
