Need to chill wine fast before your guests arrive? Use a salad bowl as an ice bucket! Add ice, cold water and some salt to the mixture, then pop in your favourite bottle of Sumac Ridge. Salt brings down the freezing point of water allowing it to become colder without turning into ice, which in turn chills your wine more quickly.

Sumac Ridge was the very first operating estate winery in British Columbia and we're proudly celebrating 38 years in 2019. Our winery was founded by Harry McWatters in 1979 in the town of Summerland in the Okanagan Valley. Since the 1800s, the area's combination of sparkling water, brilliant sun and fertile land has made it ideal for growing grapes.
Summerland's Sumac Ridge Estate Winery showcases three unique Okanagan brands that call the winery home. Experience, taste and explore each of these brands during your winery visit. Sumac Ridge Estate Winery offers one of the most celebrated winery experiences in Canada and has been recognized for our passion, innovation and commitment to quality.
Stop by our tasting room and we'll go out of our way to make you feel relaxed, welcome and at home. Add one of our charcuterie or cheese boards to enjoy while you sip & savour our wines! Please book your reservation online, by phone or by email. Come for the wine, stay for the food! Our new weekend bistro menu features comfort food favorites, made with local, seasonal ingredients.

I am appalled. Sumac Ridge is one of the biggest wineries in the Okanagan. My group has been to 17 wineries over the past two days, many of which are small businesses without a presence in liquor stores, unlike this giant conglomerate. We participated in one of each of the four types of tastings available and all made purchases of a good amount. At every other winery, our tasting fees were waived with purchase. At this winery, they were not.
You are absolutely not hurting for profit. It's utterly disgusting that you were not up front about non-refundable tasting fees, even with purchase. It reeks

We did the wine tasting with snacks for $45 per person. The "snacks" for three people they brought out were two plates of nuts, chips, popcorn, grapes, and dried apricots. So incredibly overpriced for what we got! It was not worth it and we were really unimpressed with the snacks portion. Wine was great. Host was great! Also, paying was an absolute gong show. They could not figure out how to charge us and it took us 20 minutes just to pay.

Visited Sumac Ridge Estate Winery and tried a taster flight from Black Sage. I got the $8 flight but I didn't quite like it. I think I would have preferred the $15 as I don't like dessert wines, but I couldn't quite understand the French man who was explaining it to me because he had an accent + he was muffled by the mask.

We went here day three of our wine tour so we were a bit tired to begin. The wines varied in price from 10 to 30 dollars. I would say this is a good place for inexperienced people to start or at least visit. I would consider myself more experienced wine taster and we did end up buying a bottle of a whiskey barrel aged wine which was different but good! The grounds are very nice and the building itself is nice. The tasting room is pretty large. I was impressed. Good to come to
